Really nice road win for Coach Arlinghaus and the Lady Indians. They will next play on Monday as they open up All “A” regional play at Villa vs Beechwood at 7:00 pm.

Final from Latonia. Holy Cross bounces back from their first loss of the season to improve to 11-1. Seniors Nate Rominger (17 pts), Brady Gabbard (16 pts) and Luke Arlinghaus (15 pts) led the way. The Indians are back in action tonight as they travel north to take on Purcell Marian. They will host Lloyd at the Finn Center on Tuesday.

Evangel Christian came out strong in the first half and built a 12-point lead. Holy Cross would battle back to take a 3-point lead early in the 4th but were unable to extend the lead. The Eagles had a huge performance from their 6-7 big guy in the middle Pablo Molima who ended up with 28 points. The Indians trailed 51-50 with under a minute to go and had chances but had two untimely turnovers. Indians were led by Seniors Nate Rominger with 18 points and Luke Arlinghaus with 15.

Mike Swauger Classic at Bellevue This should be a fun one to call as the Indians (10-0) will take on the Eagles (8-2). These two schools have only played one other time in their history and that was in the 2023 All “A” State Finals where the Eagles prevailed 65-62. Holy Cross (4-1) bounces back from their overtime loss to Notre Dame (43-41) with a convincing 62-41 win over previously unbeaten Highlands. The Indians had a balanced scoring attack with four players scoring 11 points in juniors D'Myah Williams, Jai Johnson, Alyssa Arlinghaus and Sophomore Avery Sturgeon. Junior Riley Eberhard had a solid all-around night with 6 pts, 5 reb's, 6 assists and 6 steals. Freshman Paige Arlinghaus added 6 points. Highlands was led by Senior Kaylee Mills with 11 points. Senior Katie Bucher added 9 points and 8th grader Emori Kinney had 7 points. * The story of the night was Holy Cross's defensive pressure creating 24 turnovers by the Bluebirds. It was 12-8 after one quarter and that was as close as it would get the rest of the night.
