Game #1 - If Amontae Lowe plays for Newport I give the edge to the Wildcats. But if he is out again, I think St. Henry can pull off the upset. I'll be calling game #2 on Holy Cross Radio so if you can't make it down to the gym in person you can listen live to that. Holy Cross is the favorite vs Beechwood but that doesn't mean anything. Was a little disappointed that NCC didn't keep this more close. I was there was agree with all your points. Seemed like turnovers hurt them last night. You obviously see more NCC games than I do. I know NCC played a great first half at Ryle the other day and thought maybe they found something. Give Beechwood credit they took it to the Breds. Look forward to playing the Tigers on Friday night!

RO - Just wanted to clarify for you the gym is called the Monsignor Finn Activity Center not George Schneider Court. ? * Semifinals on Friday should be a couple solid games. 6:00 pm - St. Henry vs Newport 7:45 pm - Holy Cross vs Beechwood.

Holy Cross beat Scott 58-29 to advance to play Campbell Co I believe.

I’m not sure on that as that is outside my pay grade. Lol But at the minimum we will have Holy Cross Radio for the HC games and possibly both games of Friday's semifinals. I was told Newport decided to forfeit this game and not play. HC vs St. Henry on Friday at 7:45 pm. The folks who update the All A brackets were probably waiting for a score to come in not knowing it was forfeited.

This sets up a semifinal game at 7:45 pm on Friday like RO said. The Indians beat the Crusaders back on December 3rd 65-35. I look for this game to be much closer this time around with D'Myah Williams out for the season for Holy Cross. This was a wonderful tribute before the game to my Mom who will be 91 this year. She's been watching and following games (over 7 sports with her kids and grandkids) at Holy Cross since 1969. Well done HC!

Huge crowd last night at the Finn Center. Always fun seeing a packed house in Latonia for a big game. The Indians next play Holmes on Friday at home. Big week next week when they host the boys All "A" regional.

Yes and no. After Cov Cath I still feel it’s only 4-5 teams no deeper than that. With HC & Highlands losing this week against 2 good teams I could see why you would say that. I look for HC to bounce back from this loss.

None of those comments were from me. Lol. Like I said in my post. Lloyd played a great game and deserve a lot of credit for a big road win. Also one loss doesn’t mean Holy Cross still isn’t a very strong team. On this night it was Lloyd. Holy cross will be just fine. Sometimes you tip your hat to the other team.

Final from Latonia. Lloyd came out hot and Holy Cross didn’t have an answer for Anthony Blaackar. Lloyd built up a 10-point lead after one. Holy Cross responded with a 13-0 run in the 2nd quarter to take a 3 point lead but Lloyd would lead by 4 after 16 minutes. The 3rd quarter was all Lloyd outscoring Holy Cross 26-10 and from there the Indians were trying to play catchup. Give Lloyd credit for going into the Finn Center and coming away with a big road win. The Indians had a bad shooting night going 2-16 from 3. Blaackar finished with 30 points and was the best player I’ve seen up close this year. Give him credit. Holy Cross will look to bounce back on Friday vs Holmes before hosting the 9th region boys All “A” Tournament next week. Unofficial from Holy Cross Radio….
