Somewhere around 48-45 or close to that , after scoring 17 in the 1st Q the Lions O went missing. LC did set their most explosive player in the first half . Missed practice yesterday. 1st Q was relatively well played , the last 3 was like watching a puppy being tortured . Both sides have lots of work to do. If Lewis shoots like that on Friday night Greenup might beat them 30 plus .

Was chasing Northern Ky's own 2017 grad Kennedy Baugh , having hard time getting her to visit . Currently have high interest in 2018 Carly Turner for sure . We finished second to two other Static kids the past year . Both throwers -- Syd Stefanich who went D1 to either Western or Eastern Mich , and Audrey ___ ? went to ONU . Love Love love Peighton Hamm as well. Would die to have her .

I know Coach Shepherd pretty well, I keep chasing his players but keep coming up empty ! Hopefully one of his18's I'm after will come my way to Shawnee.

With lots of NKY guys on here I'll say Kennedy Baugh is a dandy SR Catcher from that area. Plays for Tim Sheperds Static Elite team that sends most or all of his roster to play at various levels of college ball.

West is better than Valley , not sure how much better , but its quite a bit . I'd guess west stays within 2 TD's .

I've heard East Carter is going to schedule up -- I hope so , IMO they have to be top ten , no way they should not get the recognition they earned last year in the tourney. They return the whole team , plus 2b Eden Mayo has grown into a star - signed to U of L to go along with the best pitcher in several states - Fouts . I look for this team to mature and be a very tough out . They were young last year and really untested - not so much this time around . They deserve to be somewhere near the top IMO.

In a defensive game like that 50-60 yards of field position matters greatly . Thats my position. It would have been HUGE for GC as they would had the ball at Russell's 25 or 30 ( with fresh downs and momentum) instead of 4th down on their own 20 . And GC had already scored once , so it is possible from that close they might have scored .

Its not the blockers fault he didnt see it coming , happened right in front of me to, that call changed the game .

doc -- what was illegal about the block ? Did he go too high ? It wasnt a clip or called a clip .

Any thoughts on the biggest play of the game , In the 4th GC bobbled a punt , the punter took off and gained 30-40 yards to set GC up nicely and retain the ball but it was called back on a what looked like a bogus call to me . GC was able to crush a Russell defender out in the flat and the kid got blindsided , they didn't call it a clip , said illegal contact or something, looked like a clean football play to me , kid didn't go up high .

Painful loss for GC . I thought they matched Russell play for play . Both O's looked rather putrid . GC set up to kick and the holder took off when he received the snap . Could have been a fake .

Didnt read every comment here but Baseball recruiting must be very very strange - I know a local kid that went UNDEFEATED in his HS career , won back to back state titles at d3 in Ohio , had tremendous control and was mid 80's . And didnt get nary a D1 look , was barely recruited all . Went NAIA and is doing very well. I think his career HS record was 33 or 34-0 .

Good luck to the Muskies , may lady luck be on your side . Hard to get over those mental hurdles . I sure hope they do.

Some other softball folks from Ohio came up with 8 more orgs bringing the total to over 50 organizations that field teams at all age groups .
