Got a text saying the Ryle junior shortstop signed with the Wildcats. She is the daughter of former Cincinnati Reds shortstop and Pittsburgh Pirates hitting coach Jeff Branson.

 

Good get for the Cats.

I know Alabama coach Patrick Murphy was interested in her. Young lady is smooth in the field with a strong arm, and her approach at the plate tells me dad has worked with her.

Congrats to Maclai. Very well deserved and I look forward to watching her play at U.K. Good luck your final two years of high school and beyond. She is very smooth and very fun to watch.

Congrats to a local kid going to the SEC ! Who is her summer club ?

 

Great player and a terrific young lady! Maclai plays for Static Elite Shepherd now and played with Team Kentucky last season.

I know Coach Shepherd pretty well, I keep chasing his players but keep coming up empty ! Hopefully one of his18's I'm after will come my way to Shawnee.

Was chasing Northern Ky's own 2017 grad Kennedy Baugh , having hard time getting her to visit . Currently have high interest in 2018 Carly Turner for sure . We finished second to two other Static kids the past year . Both throwers -- Syd Stefanich who went D1 to either Western or Eastern Mich , and Audrey ___ ? went to ONU . Love Love love Peighton Hamm as well. Would die to have her .
