I don't see it happening. Eviston will have them ready by the time the playoffs roll around. He will have their eyes on the prize for the state championship.

So Eddie stands behind his players and says and thinks that his player is the best in NKY. Wouldn't you want your coach to have that confidence in you? And I do think Brady is the best player in NKY but it gets overlooked because of his size at his position when you have Towles and Pike in your class for receiving D-1 offers. Brady makes plays other players can't, he's a gamer. If he was over six feet tall we wouldn't be having this debate.

I think in terms of the players, the kids from both schools would love to play eachother every year. It's a natural rivalry because so many kids are from the same areas/gradeschools. And from the time you step foot in either high school, I'm sure its taught right away that "we hate so-and-so, and that's just the way it is, so we must crush them in everything." Which college rivalry is called "Clean, Old Fashioned Hate"? That's what NCC-Highlands is like. When you are in high school, you don't need a reason, it's just good, clean hate (on the athletic field). I also think that year-in and year-out, this game would be much closer than people think. I think Highlands would win 7 of 10, sure, but I also think those 7 wins would be much harder earned than Highlands supporters believe. I think these two teams would compete too hard with eachother, and NCC would use the underdog mentality too effectively, for blowouts to become a common occurence. It would certainly be great entertainment and drama each season.

I've played against Holmes before and they do play dirty when you get up them. But from what I heard from last night it was a cheap shot, Holmes had the ball recovered then Collopy got hit.

How is Gray playing?

Good game by NCC, I was really impressed by BB's QB tonight. Took a lot of hits in the first half and threw a pic on a drive where they were moving the ball down the field. He kept his head up and kept playing hard. Props to him and the rest of the BB team for not giving up in a one-sided game. Good luck to them in the rest of the season. And to NCC on their quest to repeat.

Nice article. Brady is one you love to watch play. Any given play he can take it to the house. Such a great competitor that I feel could lead NCC to another state title if they play one game at a time and don't overlook their opponents.
