I second this. 14 might be high.

Beware NCC. The kids from Holmes are quick and nasty. NCC better keep their heads on a swivel or they might end up on their backs. NCC by 10

I think the reverse might be in order.....

If Holmes continues to feed the ball to Scruggs, something I do not believe they were doing earlier, their offense becomes significantly better. He has the speed, vision and balance to be in the top 3 backs in NKY. Having said that I think NewCath's offense will have great success against Holmes defense. Holmes relies heavily on pressure. Mis-direction and play action will give them fits. Hitchew is very good at the read option, he will expose an over aggressive d-end very quickly. Holmes struggles mightily in the passing game. They have both Scruggs and Peterson who are great recievers, but they struggle delivering the ball to them.

 

If Holmes can keep from falling behind two scores early, this could be a very entertaining game. My prediction however is that NewCath's D will cause several TO's and give Newcath short fields to work with.

 

Newcath 38 - Homes 18 (they STRUGGLE kicking the ball!)

Should be a good game but look for NCC to win by 13.

Hitchew is a master at the ball fake and has the athleticism to match almost anyone in this area. Wolterman v. Peterson will be one of the better DB/WR matchups in the area.

I think this might be a closer game than what people think! The speed Holmes has should keep it close, also if they can keep NCC's offense off the field it could go in Holmes favor..NCC wins by 10

Scruggs definitely has the speed. He is the only player I have ever seen catch Cameron Vocke from behind on a breakaway run. Scruggs is blazing fast.

NewCath's speed shouldn't be overlooked. Hayes and Hitchew can run w/ anyone and, more importantly, the D and O linemen can move. That's normally the difference against Holmes. The Bulldogs have some of the most athletic skill players in the area, but their lines aren't always the most agile.
