NewCath was sluggish in second half vs Holmes last week and the entire game vs Lloyd last night. I still think they blowout Newport but need to wake up if they want to make another run at a state title. If not ( sorry NewCath friends) Holy Cross is licking their chops for the chance to knock the Breds off. As for this week the Bell stays home, on top of the hill.

38-7 NCC as they bring home the bell for an 11th straight season

Sorry Holy Cross fans, your just not there yet. Newcath crushes Newport next week and will RUN through Holy Cross in the playoffs if they play them.

The Breds should role against the Wildcats for the Bell.

If NCC does not play their A game and Holy Cross does, HC will win. Problem is NCC usually gets fired up for HC just as HC does for them. It will be a good game.

It's almost starting to sound like deja vu for Newport Catholic. Last season, some people were thinking that the Breds were going to lose and would possibly fold in the postseason. After their loss to Beechwood at the end of the regular season last year, they completely rolled against everyone in the playoffs on the way to the title. Is the same thing coming again this season? We shall find out soon.

Im not a Hc fan, just think it will be a great game.

I think NCC beats Newport by 2 or 3 touchdowns. The NCC vs HC game should be a good one. I would think both teams will be ready for that game.

Newport Catholic 52-7.

Breds win by at least 40..

NCC needs time to heal.

NCC has had a couple sophomores step up to fill in for injured players, Brooks at center and middle line backer, and Kalvin Moore in on the line. Both played pretty good Friday against Lloyd. Pete Callopy is back this week. The good thing is, when one player gets hurt there are mulitple players eager to fill in for that position. I'm defiantley picking NCC for this game.

farawaycomet2 must be a staunch Newport wildcat fan .
