Who believes there is potential for a letdown for Newport Catholic in the postseason?

Featured Replies

Personally, I believe that the chances are slim to none of this happening. I have not seen much of them and believe that last season's team may have been better with consideration to a few of the players that graduated. However, after hearing how some people are talking about them defensively in various threads, the overall parody for the 2A class that is taking others by surprise, including myself, and more, I'm interested in hearing some thoughts on this.

If other teams are capable of beating them or we are looking at potential shootouts, who comes to mind?

I don't see it happening. Eviston will have them ready by the time the playoffs roll around. He will have their eyes on the prize for the state championship.

It could always happen, but I am not willing to lay money that it would.

Sounds very similar to my thoughts.

No gambling comments.

I think NCC playing Beechwood at the end of the year will have the Breds on their toes in their march for another title.

It seems the Breds have shown at times to be the best AA team in the state and at times they are just a pretty good team. As I said in another thread the Holy Cross game will really show alot. I think they def have what it takes to win it all again, just have to play a complete game and not have any mental let downs.
