That second picture is after the hit. It is possible vocke was further across the plane and in full control of the ball at that time. Based on the pictures you have to believe the ref right there made the correct call! Play stands as called! PAT good!

If I counted correctly that is 42 teams out of 192 that make the playoffs. Better to know would be number of teams with losing records that make the playoffs. Could that approach 50%?

Not to take anything away from WV but they are located in a growing area and were able to get awesome facilities. This is something that most schools don't have the benefit of! WV wins this game easily!

mex, the play was about 10 yards in from the sideline plus if you look at the video all the people in that area were celebrating after the play. A lot of people make claims that really aren't true! Just my opinion!

Only way you could be 6 feet away was if you were a player or ref! What were you wearing? What you doing on the Beechwood sideline?

Correction to my post above. I left out the word "not" which changes what it said completely. Fans should not be able to go in the visitor bench area at Highlands. That could be solved by putting an elevated walkway from one side to another over top of the present steps. That way they would be separated from the visitor bench. couldn't all the BS coming out of Ft Thomas be used to fill in the ravine behind the stands? ;-)

how many buses does Highlands (Ft Thomas Independent) have? I'd bet that sometimes there are enough buses to cover all activities (vollyball, band, soccer, football). It is probably cheaper to rent buses occasionally than to own and maintain additional buses!

not true! if you triangulate the distance from the camera to Vocke and the goalpost. Then measure the shadow cast by the light coming from each side of the field you will find that Vocke clearly crossed the plane of the goal line!

VOR, actually the BW players did say something to the coaches. The good thing is that they didn't let it bother them and they continued to play. FWIW, It was mentioned above that the ref watched the ball roll out of the endzone and waited to make the call on the 2pt conversion. from the video it looks like he doesn't watch the ball and makes the call within 1 second of the hit.

I was surprised that no lineman were down field. I think it was deceiving because Vocke was so far behind the line of scrimmage (10-15 yards) and Nussbaum caught the ball behind the line of scrimmage. I think the comment from the NewCath parent section was "that play was so messed up they had to do something wrong!" The player getting hurt on that play made is seem more likely that a lineman was down field. I don't know how he got hurt as you can't even see him in the video. Must have been coming down to celebrate!

deny, deny, deny! in the video on NKY sports it looks like it goes to the right of the goal post but the video is internet quality. It was stated above that high quality video with the capability of zooming it shows the ball wide of the right upright. Good enough for me! Tigers win 40-36 then!
