  1. Actually 38 points unless you expect Beechwood to lose by 3! I still don't feel that Beechwood was 38 points worse than Mayfield. I think the high crown on the field contributed to Rigdon overthrowing the ball. Going 3 and out is not condusive to limiting the scores of your opponents. I don't care what snake, toothpick or anyone else says. The 5 hour drive and overnight stay did impact our players. I think Crittenden County will tell you the same.
  2. And those are older pictures! The elementary school has expanded into the parking lot. Tennis courts converted to parking and new parking added where 2 houses were close to school. Administration says there are more spots now, but there won't be enough for Friday. You can park on Beechwood Road, Ashton Rd. Krogers has always be a great community citizen but I don't know if Krogers will let you park in their lot. Krogers has doubled the size of their store and it looks like less parking. They just opened on Nov 18th and have been packed since.
  3. To answer TP's question: I would guess Newcath during the playoffs of 2006.
  4. There is one game on ihigh. There are several on Mayfieldcardinals.net The game to watch is the PT game at http://www.mayfieldcardinals.net/?page_id=159
  5. All I'm saying is last year the game was played at 7pm N KY time! This year the game is scheduled to be played at 630pm N KY time! Don't know why it wouldn't be at 7pm. We lost an hour coming back last year. You gain an hour go home this year. I think I got home about 3am last year!
  6. I think the game was at 6pm Mayfield time (7pm N KY) last year so I don't don't know why it wouldn't be the same this year.
  7. Harlan County was created by the merger of 3 smaller schools: Evarts (A), Cawood (AAA) and Cumberland (A) around 2008.
  8. We changed our mind. We recommend Hotel USA for you! Great rates, indoor pool and lots of extra activities!
  9. I was listening to the iHigh broadcast. The announcer was talking about the Bowden kid and said it was the grandson of Bobby Bowden. He then said his parents don't even live in the area and went on to say he lived in the dormitory up there! Who writes their material?
  10. Nothing personal but how do you go from Anderson Township, OH to Mayfield, KY?
  11. I think Beechwood is somewhat lucky they have played Frankfort at Frankfort. I think the turf at Beechwood would help Frankfort's speed. Nice 2001 schedule!
  12. The knocked down pass is in the end of this video. Can't tell for sure.
  13. Are there any Mayfield game videos on ihigh? I might have to do some homework this week!
  14. How do you get 59 points with only 266 total yards? Was there a short field the entire night? Rushing stats don't look like a lot of long runs. Do you have the scoring line as well?
  15. Also explains some of the loud cheers late in the game from the Frankfort faithful! Inspirational!
  16. Interesting story from the Enquirer: http://cincinnati.com/blogs/preps/2010/11/19/cool-side-note-from-beechwood-game/ It’s customary for coaches to empty their benches at the end of a blowout game, and that was the case Friday night at Sower Field during Beechwood’s 56-13 win against Frankfort. Among those coming off the bench for Frankfort was senior Austin Clark. Austin is blind. He came in and played nose tackle on defense, making a pair of tackles in the process. These were no fluke tackles. Clark fired off on the snap of the ball, stayed low and kept going until the whistle blew. When it came time for the Panthers to go on offense, Clark went in and played right guard. On one play he blocked his man 10+ yards down the field as a running play went to the opposite side. The Panthers would go on to score their lone touchdown of the second half while Clark was playing. It would be easy for any player to give up with his team trailing like Frankfort was, particularly after the Panthers had matched Beechwood in the first half play for play and trailed just 14-7. This kid didn’t give up. Covering sports is a pretty cool gig most of the times. Scenes like Austin Clark playing Friday night help remind us sometimes cynical hacks of that fact ************ This must have been the kid while running off the field crossed the line of scrimmage and ran into the Beechwood receiver split wide to the right. No wonder no penalty was called on that play. Good No Call! :thumb:
  17. Not knowing where you are starting from makes that difficult to answer! Did you click the link for "If the video does not start, click here"? that worked for me when the little screen wouldn't.
  18. Let me go on the record that I think this years Cov Cath team is a good team. I didn't expect them to perform well against Lasalle. With the exception of the Ryle game I think they played well. A few breaks and could they have beaten Highlands and JC?
  19. I think there is a lot more parity in football now! I also think that since most sports are Year round (basketball) or nearly year round (baseball) now that has had an impact on some athletes playing multiple sports. I don't think you can assume that a kid would have gone to Cov Cath if Holy Cross wasn't playing football. I think they might have stayed in their public school district. I have friends that sent their kids to HC but would have sent them to SK had they not had football. Take Roenker (spelling?) for example. Do you think he would have gone to Cov Cath or stayed and played baketball and baseball at HC? The best player to leave Cov Cath didn't go to HC.....he went to Highlands!:sssh:
  20. I don't recall any stud football players named Krallman down at HC. When was that?
  21. Who went to Holy Cross that would have gone to Cov Cath? Most of the "stars" down at Holy Cross weren't candidates for Cov Cath. IMO Cov Cath has the athletes, it just is not translating to wins on the field.
  22. 2006 regular season. NCC came back and beat them badly in the playoffs. http://scoreboard.12dt.com/scoreboard/khsaa/kyfb6/?id=22557
