5A schools has more depth than mediocre 1A schools. Look at his sidelines compared to the tiny schools he has been playing. It counts when you rotate players in to keep kids fresh, it helps when the sick or injury bug hits you. If he is trying to build something schedule comparable schools of equal size, actually he should be scheduling schools better than NL not worse.

Mountain Referee a 5A school should not be scheduling two 1A schools and a not very good 3A school if they are serious about competing in their district. They are 3-1 feasting on smaller schools and not even good smaller schools. They need to man up and play people that will make them better. I know you love Coach Larkey Jr. but they will get smashed next Friday against a 4A school a good one though. Have fun watching the blow out. Playing schools four classes down from you is ridiculous unless it is Beechwood, Mayfield or Hazard. Size matters!

I think you always have to prepare for the future while at the same time putting your best team on the field. CC should use there JV to develope their up and coming kids and have their coaching staff spend a little more time developing the tactical and fundamental skills of the younger players. You play now and for the future.

coaches are scape goats so many times. Players have some responsibility too.
