Opening kick off was returned by the Raiders inside the 15 and the next play was taken to the 2. A couple of bad plays and the Raiders fail to come away with any points. NL scored twice making it 14-0 and then started racking up unsportsmenlike penalties for some very dirty play. But the Raiders were still playing hard and holding their own and finally hit pay dirt and it was 14-6. The Raiders got in the red zone once again but could not punch it in and then on the last play of the half NL scores making it 21-6 and that seemed to be a huge turning point in the game. NL came out of halftime like they were on a mission and the Raiders didn't have any answers. The Raiders had several players leave the game with injuries but the player hurting them the most was Arlis Dopel the starting TB who tried to go but left the game early with a stomach virus. Numbers was a huge factor or may I say the lack of numbers especially with the injuries. The Raiders proved in the 1st half that they can compete with a good team. I am proud of the Raiders especially for keeping their heads through all the late hits from NL who seemed they thought it necessary to play dirty all night it really took all respect away from their team! I think the Raiders. Grew up a bi tonight and the lessons learned tonight will help them against a good Leslie Co team next week. Keep up the hard work Raiders and go get'em guys!

I was at this game. There were MANY unsportsmanlike on BOTH teams. Almost all of them were off setting penalties. One of McC's guys got sent out of the game and another one took his shoulder pads off on the sideline. One on McCreary Central was for an eye gouge!! McCreary finished with negative rushing yards I was told by the radio guy after the game. North had to have over 400 yards tonight. North looked like they were ready to run through a wall after half time. I think they may have come out a little flat in the beginning. They were anything but flat after the half!

It will be nice to see how NL does against teams that are not 1A and 3A. They are 5A they should play schools other than Lynn Camp 1A, Pineville 1A Wayne 3A, McCreary 3A. Get ready for district play by playing schools on your level.

Blah blah blah...Wayne county is undefeated and will probably finish second over corbin in their district, may even push bell. I guess Ohio State shouldn't play akron, UK shouldn't play Western, etc etc etc. A few years ago before the 6A split all these teams would have been in 3A together or at worst 3a and 4a. Norths schedule advances nicely really, two easy wins, a couple tougher 3A schools, Next week Russell County who is really really really good 4A school... then Murderer's row district time: Arch Rival South, Pulaski, Southwest Pulaski. You show complete ignorance for your last statement haha. Besides, who has McCreary played? Oh wait...1A Pineville...Oh wait ZERO A Knott county, a team that has not won in two years...and Taylor, did they win a game last year? North plays in an extememly hard district where you have 6 teams and actually have to WIN YOUR WAY into the playoffs....and if you make it you have to play Harlan, Perry, Letcher or Whitley...all four good programs. When you play a district schedule like that and play opposite teams like that, you have to adjust your schedule accordingly.

Didnt I read earlier that McCreary was predicting a win against North Laurel, why did McCreary schedule them if they didnt think they could win. If memory serves me correct, North Laurel has never been any good, size dont matter, lot sof 1A schools can beat bigger schools. Dont blame the loss on having to play a bigger school. north has always been a big school and never had any success.

What exactly was predicted was 8 possible wins with North being one of them. McCreary will not make the playoffs this year either Banker of the South, so you along with cellking( who has throwed the white towell in already) HOP all are wrong.

Calm down ref I can't wait for the WC game. Again congratulations on preparing for district play by feasting on two 1a schools and two 3A schools. You guys won't make the playoffs. Nice hard win against an undermanned team. NL are real beasts. Good luck against Russell. You guys won't catch Britt. RC 55-22.

i am not even from NL, but i will say I am from rockcastle and we have played teams that are in a lower class than us this year and have won very easily. Why did McCreary schedule NL anyway, did they think they were going to win or did they just schedule it for a loss. So does McCreary not need to play some tough teams before they play Bell co, or do you just want to play some little teams. I will ask you to answer this, how good has NL ever been? have you ever looked at their previous records. NL is far from being some powerhouse team you act like they are. Come play the little old Rock and see what happens to you.

LoL, as always HB you crack me up. When I said there was 8 possible wins before the season started I was not wrong as a matter of fact I could have said there was 10 possible wins and still have been right. Now if I would have use the word probable then I would have been mistaken. As for the unsportsmanlike penalties NL started right at the end of the 1st quarter and never let up, they were continually hitting later well after the whistle but I blame the refs for not getting the game under control early because eventually the other team will start to retaliate and that's what happened as I too was at the game. McCreary had played 3 games prior to this one without an unsportsmanlike penalty and NL has a reputation of kids getting ejected..............I'm just saying! NL didn't have better athletes they just had the depth and that eventually took it's toll on McCreary. I am just glad we got out of that game without a brawl breaking out although i think we could have won the fight. LoL! Now it's time to move on and look towards next Friday. Go Raiders and Go Get'em Guys!

Ok HOP I believe you about the late hits and such.

The 8 wins at the beginning of the season was a pipe dream and I think we all know that. Let's hope you get 2. And I mean that. The coaches need to be really encouraging the kids at this point. Good luck. Remember it's all in fun on here. If we didnt argue then what fun would it be?

Huh? NL needs to man up and stop feasting on medicore teams from lower classes. Rock needs to do the same thing if they are doing what you say they are. Stop being scared to play teams equal to you. "I will ask you to answer this" how good has McCreary ever been. You crack me up ref "Come play the little old Rock and see what happens to you" Really? c'mon get some thicker skin.
