  1. Shane Fowler of Harrison County has either 12 or 13 homeruns already.
  2. Luke Maile is having a very succesful sophomore season it looks like.
  3. He verbally committed to play college baseball at Spalding University.
  4. Clyde I don't know about anyone else but I found this comment hysterical. It must be too late for me, I'm getting slap happy apparently.
  5. Bryan Waibel pitched for the Pioneers and was throwing very well until he had to come out with an injury to his throwing arm. Later it was figured out his bicep tendon popped out of place.
  6. They beat Cov Cath with ease with their best pitcher on the hill, in Severson. They also beat the 10th Region All A Champions and a very good Bishop Brossart team. The beat Louisville Southern who beat Trinity earlier in the year. I know Dixie isnt playing like they should be with the talent they have but on any given day they could beat anyone in the 9th. On the same note they could also lose to anyone, like Lloyd.
  7. They are 7-5 and have beat Covington Catholic 10-3.
  8. Stansberry started for the Colonels and was lights out the first 6 innings blanking the Pioneers. Then in the 7th inning with the score 6-0 the Pioneers started chipping away and eventually got Stansberry out of the game with the Colonels still leading 6-3. Griffin Lessley came in to relief and gave up 3 more runs. With the score 6-6 after 7 innings of play the Colonels brought in Tyler Sexton. He pitched the final 6 innings. Striking out 11 and giving up 0 hits. The Pioneers started Josh Berger, then Vic Newberry came in to relief with Ryan Mullens throwing the final inning. Congrats to the Pioneers on a hard fought battle and for coming back. A fun game of baseball to watch tonight. Good luck to both teams.
  9. Well what does that say about Dixie? Dixie beat them with probably either their #1 or #2 on the mound in Severson. Dixie beat them very handly 10-3. If Dixie can figure it out they should be among the favorites to win the 9th also.
  10. Sexton came up in the bottom of the 7th with 2 outs and the tying run on 2nd and the Juggs decide to intentional walk him putting the winning run on 1st base. They walked Sexton 4 times today, 2 being intentional. Risky move by Mr. Moore but in the long run it paid off not pitching to Sexton who has 3 homeruns in a 5 game span.
  11. Cotton got NKY player of the year and Smallwood got Enquirer player of the year. And all I am saying is there is plenty of other players that could be considered for the award when in all reality we already know who's is going to get it.
  12. Does the player who wins player of the year every year end up getting drafted? Because if thats the case then I'm pretty sure everyone on this forum board knows who is going to win it.
  13. Adam Dickman threw really well for the Colonels but the score doesn't show it. He pitched 4 1/3 innings only giving up 5 runs. Mason Fowler pitched a complete game for the Breds and the Colonels couldn't touch it only mustering up 4 hits. The game was scoreless threw 2 innings until Sexton hits a solo homerun to lead off the 3rd. Shane Fowler hit 2 homeruns for the Breds and absolutely killed the ball. Hitting for both teams: Dixie Heights- Sexton 3-3 with 2 singles and a homerun(#2 of the season) Harrison- Shane Fowler went 2-3 with 2 homeruns and a walk.
  14. Obviously you dont understand what Clydes saying. Cory is a top notch student and an all around respectful kid along with being a pretty good ball player. One of the nicest kids I have ever had the pleasure to meet. I know every school has these type of kids but any school would be honored to have Cory in their attendance and on the baseball field.
  15. TOG, where are you!? I really appreciate your game summaries and was hoping you would have covered this one. Anyways Cov Cath got out to an early 2-0 lead until the bottom of the 3rd when the Red Colonels pushed across 7 runs. They never looked back at that point pushing across another 3 in the bottom of the 5th or 6th I'm not sure. Hitting leaders for each team: Dixie Heights- Abeling 2-3 3 rbi's and a double, Sexton 2-3 with an intentional walk and 1 single and a double. Cov Cath- Severson 2-3 2 rbi's single and a double. Starting pitcher for each team: Dixie Heights- Dematteo 6 IP 3 earned runs. Cov Cath- Severson 3 2/3 IP 6 earned runs. Dematteo was lights out for Dixie keeper the Blue Colonels hitters off balance all night. Severson threw VERY WELL until about mid 3rd inning. Until that point he only gave up 1 hit, to Sexton. He is a very promising lefty who reminds me a lot of a shorter version of Brice Smallwood. Anyways good luck to both teams on the rest of their season! :dancingpa
  16. Good pitching from both teams tonight. Adam Dickman started for the Colonels and then Corey Garrett came in relief. Michael Teegarden pitched a complete game for the Camels, good game out of him. Colonels take an early 2-0 lead in the first inning. Michael Kramer hits a line drive homerun for the Camels. Errors plagues Dixie Heights as 2 fly balls dropped that was counted for 2 of the Camels runs. Anyways good game by both teams.
  17. He also just pitched a complete game tonight against Dixie Heights. Hopefully his arm will be alright come tourney time.
