  1. Congratulations to a hard worker and very deserving player.
  2. In reading the posts, does this sound like a temporary hire during the transition in hopes of someone else that is planning to be available next season?
  3. Curious if there is any news and who is in charge of off-season workouts currently. Anyone?
  4. Heard that John Luttrell, formerly at Cawood, is being strongly considered. Anyone else?
  5. Have a lot of respect for Coach Morris' ability. 13th Region has several very good coaches, and he is one of them.
  6. Don't most folks expect Hazard to be really good even without adding a big man? Who comes back for them?
  7. Wish Tubby the best wherever he is. Tough decision. More money, probably a better chance to consistently threaten for conference titles at Oregon. Probably less pressure and he seems happy at Minnesota. May depend on where he and Ms. Smith want to live as retirement nears.
  8. I like 1970 and 1997 (with DA) as well as 2003. All were better 'teams' than this year.
  9. Guard the inbounds pass and none of the 'stomp' matters (not trying to change the subject).
  10. Does anyone have a tentative schedule for KC?
  11. No idea, but if there is info, I might be interested in going.
  12. Hadn't thought about before now, but I agree. Meeks would have been the missing piece.
  13. Calipari is immune so long as he recruits the likes of Wall and Cousins, UK wins 30+, and UK is ranked/finishes in the top 8 every year. That, in my opinion, creates sufficient 'buzz' and pride in the fan base. Maybe things get touchy without a final four after four years. Tubby was the opposite. He did not recruit as big as Calipari and won 30+ only occasionally, but he would have survived with that final four every 3-4 years to keep his personal reputation and the program's 'prestige' in the national spotlight. It needs to be at least be one or the other to satisfy the UK fans.
  14. Was there any other name in the mix? I have to believe Bryan Station had some candidates apply.
  15. Do we need to change the name of "She Bangs"? Just sayin...
  16. Error on the call, but the better team still won.
  17. Add me to the Izzo admiration list. He consistently gets the job done.
  18. Do you think they will promote Coach Crawford or someone else from within?
  19. The level of intensity and irritation of a fan base seems directly proportional to the level of success of the program. The Yankees, for example, create hatred either way. If you are a fan, it is easy to spit on anything and disrespect anything not a Yankee. Nothing else measures up in the fan's mind, and there are many championships to support their line of thought. Meanwhile, the Cubs (perennial losers) have fans that are adored or sympathized with because their team is not as threatening, and they don't have the success to back up any arrogance. UK, Duke, UNC, Louisville, etc. all have a level of success that breeds some portion of their fan base to be fanatics, and this causes an allergic reaction from the opposing fans. It is what helps make rivalries great no matter which side you take.
  20. Anthony Hickey Christian Co. was as good as anyone at the Sweet 16.
  21. I was going to say that the freshman class was quite large, and usually you don't keep a large class at a small school without success. Congratulations RAM on your hard work with that group. I hope you get to see them do well at the HS level. Do you foresee any of them making a large impact this year?
  22. Leslie County had a really good post player last year that I think was only a sophomore. Won't they be decent next year?
