He definitely has the order correct although I'm thinking Campbell & and Paris may be 1 & 1A. Clark is clearly very close though and may be trending up at the right time. Tough test in Henry Clay upcoming. Scott with a very tough game with Cooper. Those 4 and then nobody within miles...........

Is your team playing extraordinarily well and exceeding their expectations because you're on it? That encompasses many things but in essence I think that makes you a contender.

If you miss the Clark vs' Paris or Scott vs' Campbell final. Just wait a week and you may have the opportunity to see a repeat performance at MCHS or a different mix of those 4 teams.

Keep it rolling Paris. I always have to cheer when the "little guys" win. #doubleup

Unfortunately another one of those least worse wins the game scenarios. Panthers need to regroup quickly if they envision any post season success.

I'm afraid this district this year is much ado about nothing. The 39th nor the 38th will be a factor in the 10th's outcome. Paris, Campbell, Scott & Clark will be your semi-finalist in that order and whoever out of that group strings together 2 good games.

Campbell is much deeper than Pendleton. If Allen doesn't play it could be a long night for Pendleton.

Sorry Goldy, gotta go with the home team in this one. Should be a great game to watch. Two quality teams playing.

If you read my posts I believe you'll find I wasn't responsible for the thread veering off the rails. As for my feelings for Austin I have no idea what you're talking about. I've never posted or said anything negative about any player. I'm on record as saying we posters should never do that period. Unless you're in HS I'm surprised at your deluded view of my posts. Maybe this alleged hate and/or envy originates with the people making the a accusations. Done here!

I think you're confused. I certainly don't hate anyone let alone Coach Hinson. He was a big part of something special in Augusta and he decided moving to Bracken was something he wanted. We talked about it and I expressed my opinion to him and he moved on which I understand, it's his home. If anything, my reservations about him going there had more to do with you guys having 5 Coaches in 5 years and my concern was for Jason and his family. I also meant this as a positive comment as I assumed this was indeed one of Bracken's goals this year. It's an impressive personal accomplishment for Austin and again I congratulate him. As for George, we get along fine and he's done OK too, lol. Actually he's here a lot more than you might think and also does a lot of things for local people that most people will never know about.

Game over and Bracken accomplishes their season's goal of getting Crawford his 3K. Congratulations young man.

Paris, Campbell, Scott, Clark yes they'll all be there with a chance to win in that order IMHO. Large gap, then Bracken and nobody else in sight. Brady Jones play has been stellar and is their most efficient player who is making them a dark horse contender but I think there is a lot of separation between them and the top 3 teams. I guess we'll find out about their chances with Clark County soon. Great job as usual Papa

Both teams looked pretty tagged with lots of turnovers and unforced errors. Nicholas shot the ball pretty well and Augusta didn't which seemed to be the difference in the game. I don't have stats but that's my observation. Frankly, Nicholas played least worse. Not good grammar but a good description. My young Panthers just need to figure out a few roles and create better cohesion and communication. Just keep working guys, you'll be fine. It all comes down to one very winnable game in the District. We're young and inexperienced but IMHO, this is the worst 39th district ever, so you literally have as good a shot as anybody and you have no pressure........ You're not supposed to win.

I believe what he said was that Augusta won because Coach Hinson was there and Brent owes his success to Coach Hinson, period. I simply pointed out that his or her statement is only partially true and to make such a statement lacks an understanding of what it takes to have program success. All of the contributors I mentioned above have a healthy, mutual respect for each others contributions and roles in Augusta's success. My point is where that is absent:............so is success.

I'll take the "High Road" here: Obviously you subscribe to the belief that 1 singular person affects the outcome of a basketball game or season. That would be incorrect. It takes EVERYONE on the team, Coaches, Players, Administrators, Parents, Fans, etc. to reach the pinnacle of success. I can also tell you since Brent is my son, that he and Coach Hinson have a very clear understanding of the roles each of them played in Augusta's success and also have a clear understanding that it was all due to "A TEAM EFFORT". I know for a fact that all of the kids that play at Augusta have a clear understanding of this fact then and now and are very humble about any accomplishments they've achieved.

I said this before and won't enter an opinion other than to say Robin Kelsch is always doing whatever benefits Augusta the most. Always.........Who did whom "dirty" is a door that swings both ways depending upon your bias. I'm sure Bracken thinks they're doing the best for their school as well. I'm a Panther through and through but have always expressed the opinion that our district and the region should always be played at the Fieldhouse. It's simply the best venue with the best opportunity to maximize payout to the participating teams IMHO Beyond that, this isn't exactly a stellar year for the 39th and it all seems to be much ado about nothing. I frankly don't see any of the teams in the 39th being a factor in the outcome of the regional tournament this year but I'm sure this thread will endure for some time to come so enjoy the continuing saga.

Actually, where there is disagreement and no unanimity on the the site selection issue the district manager submits the site selection form to the Commissioner for his or her decision. My understanding is that whichever site was selected by the majority and best meets the selection criteria I.e. seating capacity, parking facilities, # of dressing rooms, historical financial results, etc. Will be mandated by the Commissioner.
