Adair County needs to be in the 4th. Russell County who is in the 4th has to drive through Adair County in the 5th to get to the bulk of their schools. Or Russell County back in the 12th.

If Johnson Central is THAT much better than FS up front, then, well..I need to see it. I know it's been touted that they have some grown men up front on both sides and no doubt they do, but so does FS. What happened the other night in their game vs John was exactly what I thought might happen, and that was FS physically wearing them down w their size, strength and overall physicality. John was physical; they'd proven that their previous three games and vs the likes of Meade County and Central Hardin beating them earlier in the year (no matter the talent level of those two, they are always big and physical ), but FS was on a different level. You don't get to the semifinals playing the style that John plays by not being physical. I've seen them both first hand (SW last year and FS this year), and up front (defensively especially) FS looked like a clone of the SW team of last year.

Just my guess because the field and all has to be cleared out by a certain time on Friday for them to get all set up...I just figured the same would happen for when they needed to pack up and head out.

I mentioned this in the other thread, but WKU/La Tech would be played at noon. Their game will last all of four hours w the number of times they put in in the air. Then factor in clearing the field, ESPN loading up and getting out of there. The earliest a game could be played Saturday would likely be 7:00 (IMO).

WKU plays at Noon. That game will last all of 4 hours and then some maybe with the number of times that then and LA Tech put it in the air.

Risk of this happening at EKU as well with them being D1 FCS (formerly known as 1-AA), and being part of a full blown 16 team playoff system where games aren't played at neutral sites until the title game.

Go Tops. Love BG and all about it. But if WKU wins, and I hope they do..it's time to move this show to Lexington, and I've been the biggest fan ever of these things being played at WKU.

..to Southern Miss last night, and a potential WKU win over Marshall later tonight; that means WKU (could) will host the C-USA Championship again next weekend. Has anybody heard how that will once again effect the state finals schedule for next week?

This. It was a very physical game. FS just won out. The first half it was a fight. Both squads had some shoulda, coulda, woulda's in the first half. FS fumbles on the one going in down 7-0 that could have tied it at that point; which could have lead to a 14-7 halftime lead for FS. John gets a pick 6 called back on a defensive holding that could have put them up 14-0, instead FS drives down to score. 7-0 after one JH, 7-7 half, 14-7 end of 3, 27-7 final. I thought both teams played very physical last night, especially on D. FS was just flat out better in that category as the game wore on and in the end. Next week? Go Cats!

I'm anxious to see this game. Franklin Simpson has some grown men up front. Their game last night with John was a slugfest the first half and FS just eventually wore them down. It was 7-0 after 1 JH, tied 7-7 at half and both teams has some breaks go against them (FS fumbled on the one going in, John has a pick 6 called back for a defensive holding call that could have put JH up 14-0) in that half. If Johnson Central rolls, then they are just on a different level than the rest (ie: Belfry in 3A, BG in 5A recently). If the game is tight either way and/or a FS win, then you could make the argument that it was FS/JC then SW/JH a step behind going off scores, and then everybody else. I love everything about the style of play for both of these programs, but put me in the FS camp (even if it is a homer pick).

It's not overrated in shoot outs like this.

I would totally agree and like you, I'm hoping the same. No...they don't. But, I'll give this team some credit; they've taken distractions and tragedy this year and slapped it in the face the following game. Now, I'm not sure they can do that this week or not because FS is just THAT good. But this team has played it's best ball this year following distractions and tragedy.

That I know nothing about. Father of daughters myself, and I've also come to the rescue of younger siblings that are also sisters, so you're preaching to the choir on that. I'm merely talking about the incident between the teacher and student athlete. And I've also been in education long enough where things also happen when as a teacher you are trying to break up fights. You catch some accidental chin music, scratches, even getting tripped-knocked to the floor (all unintentionally a lot of the times on behalf of the student(s)). I'm providing another point of view is all.

To clear up the "assault"; the young mans sibling had gotten into a fight and a scrum broke out. I've been there like I'm sure we all have been there when coming to the rescue of a family member; not excusing what happened..but, sometimes you get that "stupid strength". The teacher in the incident came to the student athlete and wrapped him up around the shoulders, the young man (not seeing who it was wrapping him up, probably thinking it was another student ) started twisting/Fighting to get out of the hold and both went to the ground hard w/ the young man falling on top of the teacher. Nobody was injured. The teacher is fine with no injuries. It was two males, teacher and student that both went to the ground. With the student-athlete falling on top of the teacher. It was a big fall truth be told. The media, however like they most always do with cases like this, will twist and spin it in whatever negative light they can.

It's already been said, but BG and Christian did just that...dominated in every sense of the word. PRP was a turnover free (from both) battle. It was 7-6 at half (PRP) and 13-9 PRP with 10 left in the 4th and John came away with nothing inside PRP's 10 yard line. With as stout as their D was (PRP), field goals weren't going to work. John went for the score; didn't get it. We know what's said about if's and shoulda, coulda, woulda's but that was one of those games.

No doubt. There are a lot of us that could and have probably shared those same sentiments; with that said, though, I think many have finally seen the light of just how good the likes of BG, Christian County (who was up on BG late in the 3rd last week) and PRP (Male only beat them by 3 last week after they went down to McCracken County and completely waxed them) actually are. Then, let's not forget about North...their biggest rival, 6A school, talent, and a coach/staff who has been given the time to get them going in the absolute right direction. That schedule had a whole heck of a lot to do with those inconsistencies IMO.

There were adjustments made and their attitude of an absolute sense of urgency was at an all time high (how could it not be). The first play of the 2nd half that went for an 80 yard score out was out of a formation that they hadn't shown yet in the game. The throwback pass off Waggle that accounted for all, but nine of their total passing yards was not used until the 2nd half. Run game wise; John started going right at Shelby in the 2nd half more so than trying to stretch the field w/ their perimeter and misdirection run game. The 2nd half was "elbows and buttholes" (doesn't sound as good not using the most appropriate word). Bottom line is, though that the kids for John executed. Great TEAM win.

Traditional. All Delaware. They run jet sweep, rocket, etc. But they run Delaware's system verbatim (w/ the addition of their "spread" game that is also based off those same schemes and terminology).

Cantwell played QB at Tilghman before going to Louisville and playing as well. He saw quite a bit of action despite being Brian Brohm's back up. I think he might have even started his entire senior year or more. The last few years he has been an assistant coach at Campbellsville University.

And they were playing without their leading rusher, leading WR and all world kicker/punter due to a disciplinary issues (great kids mess up sometimes). WR/DB Anthony Witherspoon was out with an injury as well as their long snapper. Tonight is just a testament to the true brotherhood within the walls of that team that are WAY TOO often wrongly scrutinized on here. Hats off to those young men.
