  1. The same could be said for other offenses, I see teams that try to be physical smash mouth type teams with 32 personnel without kids over 170 pounds up front that don't have answers for 3rd and long, 2 minute offense etc. My point is you have to have a good mix and a coach that knows how to adapt his offense. Sometimes you're just bad no matter what you run, very rarely does the fastest most physical team lose on the field regardless of what type of offense they run.
  2. What kind of support is there for athletics in Bracken County? Is administration and community on board? Seems like there's a lot of turnover in all their athletic programs over the years. Will this job be good for a young guy or better trying to go the experienced route? Would younger guys like Sam Marple or Josh Jaggers move to take on this job? Many more young coaches out there but definitely two that comes to mind.
  3. I would like to see Marple get an opportunity at this job. I thought he got a raw deal at Casey.
  4. From all I can figure that's it. Sounds like Bracken will be in good shape, he didn't leave the cupboard bare by any means.
  5. What are the issues at Clay other than stability? It wasn't too far in the past that they were competitive.
  6. Bracken County was 13-80 all-time before he arrived. Took over what was a bottom 5 football program in the state of Kentucky and has had success there. Bracken County didn't know if they were going to have a team the year he arrived. You're not going to find anybody that's done more with less.
  7. I'd say across the state the teams that use a TE are probably still at 70-80% if not more.
  8. Nothing other than choosing not to use on I would guess. They've been successful without one in the grand scheme.
  9. You can't put too much stock into all these all state team lists. Too many kids get left off that should be on them every year. It seems more like a popularity contest than anything.
  10. Definitely an interesting look at the state as a whole, awesome job!
  11. Maybe Highlands is just down for a bit? Haha, it could happen!
  12. Would definitely be a homerun hire, struggle to see him leaving Mayfield though.
  13. No, you have to practice and freak accidents happen. What would be the point of keeping starters in that long? In the overall goal of your program what would be the accomplishment? If you're 40 better than someone, do you really need to prove you're 70 better if that's the case? I really have no problem with it either way as long as you're not out there trying to show the other team up, but just don't understand what would be the purpose in the grand scheme. A lot more to lose than their is to gain in those situations.
  14. That's the million dollar question that no one seems to be answering in this one.
  15. Are they expecting to play in the playoffs? It's been tough with all the injuries Fairview has had this year.
  16. The top 4 teams are sitting at a combined record of 26-10 right now with two 7-2 teams and one 8-1 team. Pretty competitive 1A football from the looks of it.
  17. Bracken also had several starters out against Brossart that played against Paris. It has turned into a pretty competitive district from the sounds of it.
  18. Just what happens when spineless administrators let clueless parents run the show. This was caused by a select few and now others are paying the price.
  19. Any chance ever that Aaron Stepp goes back there? I know he won some games there.
  20. I think Nicholas is the obvious favorite, and the separation among the next three could have them finish in any order from what I am seeing. Brossart, Paris, or even Bracken could be the runner up, and in any situation, I am not sure any are getting a playoff win other than the winner of the district.
