  1. So...you agree that he was catered to, but he knows how to move his body to get into position ? :idunno:
  2. It's not driven by the associations, it's driven by the KHSAA. I'm thinking you got some bad intel there
  3. What do you mean by "have to go elsewhere in the future" ?
  4. Congrats to Coach Kelsch and the Black Devils. That's why you play the games....
  5. Isn't that the benefit of being the #1 Seed ?
  6. So it's not important to know the rules, officiate summer / AAU games, obtain feedback, watch and break down film, and have video and written critique ? Seems odd to me, but I guess they did it different in your day....
  7. Glad you could play along.... Don't know where the "rabbit eared officials" quote comes from, but I certainly see the irony in your inability to hear anyone else's point of view, while at the same time pointing out what you think others do hear....isn't that interesting ? Since you haven't officiated (something) in 20 years, maybe a refresher course would assist you in better understanding the games you are watching. Most officials spend considerable time each year training and studying rules so they get these types of call correct....I can understand how your perspective much be much more clear.
  8. These are incredible numbers.....but some say we should do away with this in basketball all together...SMH...:idunno: I guess the Region 6 officials either get it wrong all the time, or right all the time...
  9. If you don't already know, then anything Sumo could even tell you won't help you.(and he wouldn't divulge anyway, too classy for that)...let that sleeping dog sleep...She's home and Mason County has an excellent coach at the helm. Good luck to the Lady Royals in the post season.
  10. Ok, if you insist...here's the problem. You start off in this thread trying to describe something that you witnessed, and then you ask a question. You get a very specific answer that includes an opportunity to clarify whether a player was dribbling or not....your story then changes, maybe a couple times even, you almost agreed at one point, but it was a technicality....yet you still insist on bringing back up your version, or the most current your version, and when that answer still doesn't suit you, you go nuclear and say there is zero chance that any of it is correct. :deadhorse: That's the reason for the dislike..::idunno: I only have one question, and one question only: When was the last year you were a licensed basketball official ? I will assume that with your vast knowledge of the technicalities of rule and case book interpretation that you actually have "the stones" to put on the shirt and whistle and make these calls that you are so certain about. I'll wait patiently by the rock quarry for your reply....
  11. As a matter of fact, I have seen them and I think they put out great effort with what they have. Why is it important to you that they have never beaten a 15th Region opponent ? What is the significance of that statement paired up with your suggestion that they may be better served in a "Christian" league ?
  12. But it really doesn't matter "why" they are a part of KHSAA, they are….. With some of the numbers put up by Pikeville on them, makes me wonder if there isn't a whole bunch of outward hostility toward this small school. Hmmmm…. As to your prior statement of "commitment" to play post-season, I'm not aware of that clause in the by-laws. Are you stating that all KHSAA member schools are required to participate in post-season as an obligation of being a member ?
  13. It's an opinion, just one that is shared by you and your world… Do you know anything at all about this school ? Their mission ? Any conditions ? Let me see, I'll say "No"….but that's obvious. You think that if a team opts out of post season that is somehow worthy of banishment from the very organization that was set up to protect schools like this. I have nothing to get over….and for the record, I don't care one bit who plays for any State championship so you got me all wrong. Everyone's got opinions, some are just rooted in the ridiculous….good luck to your team in the post-season.
  14. Fairly forgiving in your treatment of member schools….certainly hope you're not close to anyone on any BOC….
  15. I do. They are part of the District, they played a full schedule, which I assume included District seed games and they should be treated as such. Anyone that thinks otherwise is likely not seeing the forest for the trees….
  16. We ALL love umpires.....:dancingpa
  17. One game does not a District make....they should definitely get their cut. Additionally, this school may need it more than any other school in the 15th...
  18. @UKFAN#18.....what is this blasphemy being spouted about the SK football feeder program ?! So that stuff really happens in South Kenton ? WOW !
  19. Why would you be offended that a coach, who coached them prior to being in high school, developed them, and coached them in the summer was given credit ? He held this program together in the middle of a crap storm of coaching chaos...
  20. Much like the "blarge" complaints.....lots of complaints, but honestly, how many of those are actually seen in a season ? Between you, me and a few others, we probably see 200 - 300 games a season cumulative.....I have maybe seen 1 or 2 at most this season.
  21. If you chose not to play your District schedule, and opt out of post season, I believe that is an option and I believe that could have happened at Silver Grove in the past. Not sure about Calvary
  22. Not at all true.... CCHS - Calvary 12/22 - 97-26 Scott - Calvary 12/8 - 88-59 BBHS - Calvary 1/9 - 59-35
