I think the greatest district game/situation ever played was Pendleton County and Brossart in 2005! The regional championship was decided in Brooksville that year in the first round of the district. All fans stood in line for hours with some still having to stand in the endzone when inside the gym for lack of seats. Heard of people offerring 50 dollars to take peoples place further up the line and arguements coming from that. That building shook at times that night it was just so loud in there. How many times will we ever see shuttle buses running in Brooksville, KY on top of that?

When did they add your opponents potential won/lost record as a criteria for anybody to win Mr. Basketball in the state of Kentucky?

Texas Leaguer you should have been in West Liberty, Kentucky last night to see the performance he put on. That's the problem with Timmy, people pass judgement on him without seeing him or compare him to a situation from last year that doesn't exist today. That state tournament with Pittman was last year, and I don't agree with your take, this is this year!

Clark is a far superior team this year in regards to Bourbon, but how sad is it this Bourbon program has fallen. Somewhere Russ Day has to be shaking his head at a program he built into a state powerhouse has just went off the cliff!

The whole team gave their all, just the will of the whole team along with Timmy leading the ship! Take for example a kid like Nick Lewis, comes in plays his role perfect then is standing at the line with some big free throws and knocks one of them down to get the lead up to four. Every member of that team Elliott team laid everything they had out last night to get to that regional tourney and it was well worth the seven dollars I had to pay to see it! Also, good to see Ferg, Big John, Chris Knipp and Flannery at the game last night.

After last night nobody, and I mean nobody can question his: toughness, commitment, teamwork or any other thing that's been said about this kid over the years. Timmy totally took that game over against West and silenced all doubters as to who is Kentucky's best player!

If he can lead Elliott to the state tournament, he has to be in the running in my opinion.

He is scoring over 30 points and is pretty much carrying his team. Elliott has a pretty good record this year and he is the reason why. He changes games on the defensive end along with the offensive end. He has also came along way this season when it comes to distributing the ball. He has an all around game and I think he is the best player in the state! Thoughts?

Timmy has sufficient speed for the next level in my opinion. What he needs to work on is just polishing his game, for example having a strong jump stop before shooting in the paint. Sometimes he gets hurried and is off balance in the lane and that contributes to the misses he has for the most part. Saying that though I think the kid has had a great season for going from a fifth option to the number one option along with scoring off the dribble.

What a performance by Rhuben Blueford. The senior center for Mason Co. had 10 points 13 rebounds and 7 blocks, and pretty much controlled the game. When he went out in the third quarter is when Bryan Station cut the lead to 6 going into the 4th quarter. As long as O'Hearn will continue to give him minutes he will be a force to be reckoned with in the postseason.

Here is an interesting concept: does Mason County win the 10th region becuase they have the best players, coaches, community support and feeder programs that cannot be matched in the 10th region? YES Mason County wins because Mason County has all the above variables that equal a winning formula were as people who complain are plainly jealous there teams can't beat the Royals on a consistent basis. As far as the Fieldhouse goes the one year there was a far superior team to Mason, 2005, the best team won the region at the Fieldhouse the Pendleton County Wildcats. The best team wins the tournament, plain and simple!

Still think the 16th comes down to East Carter, Elliott and Fairview with with Elliott having to draw opposite bracket of both the other mentioned teams to come out on top.

I'm totally with you, in my book he is already a "high" D-1 prospect but for whatever reason it seems people are slow to give him that credit or recognition! Many people I feel have bias towards eastern Kentucky basketball and want to find anything and everything to pick at Timmy about. Fact is he is the state's number 1 player and I'm glad to see people are finally (slowly) giving him the deserved credit for the talent he is!

All in is right on with his assessment in my opinion. I also do not like watching the NKY teams except for Holmes because their style of play is usually that slow down stuff. How many minutes did Bluford get last night? He has gotten the wrong end of the stick his entire career at Mason Co. and finally they had to play him because of injuries, and he showed them what he could do. I really hope that they do not do him wrong again and put him on the bench now that their "favorites" are back. Without him they wouldn't have anywhere the record they do, he definitely proved that he needs to be playing major minutes.

If Timmy has a big summer I think he will move up into the conversation with the high D-1 schools, he is a great talent doing things at his size that are unreal!

I will take the Generals by 7, Clark County hasn't shown on a consistent basis they can compete with athletic teams.

Other names to consider: "HurriKane" Belcher- Pendleton County Russell Allen- Bourbon County, signed with Detroit Mason O'Hara- Pendleton County, stirred the pot for 05 Cats in what was the decades third best team behind the Mason County title teams.

I think you gotta put Elliott County in this mix for next year as well, Knipp will only get better along with Ison and Nickell. Those three can go along way if a fourth scorer steps up who can average 7-8 points on a consistent basis the Lions will be right back in championship conversation.

I think Montgomery coming to play Bracken Co. kind of says it all. If Montgomery Co can come to Bracken Co then Clark Co could have came to Mason Co. I do not think Clark Co is scared of Mason Co, to be honest I really do not know what to think. When Clark Co. played Mason Co in the summer they held their starters out and now I am hearing that Mason Co. is doing everything they can to get this game rescheduled but Clark Co is not having it. I guess Clark Co just wants to wait til region, but is not the right thing to do because the game was on their schedule. You are supposed to play the games that are on your schedule. Anyway I look forward to the game at the Fieldhouse in the first week of March. Yes, region is at the HCA Fieldhouse!
