Final from the MHCA Fieldhouse.

Royals started out sluggish as often seems to be the case at home, digging themselves a 5-0 hole, but quickly righted the ship. Colonels tried going to Thelen on just about every trip, but Wellbrock had the better game tonight. Caught the Royals asleep at the wheel on two runouts after made baskets.

I'll say this for CovCath. They looked like a team that was having fun playing basketball; seemed to have a positive attitude on the floor and on the bench.

Justin Lang saved the Royals' bacon at both ends of the floor. I hope someone Youtubes the acrobatic shot in the lane that somehow went in.

Tyler Black dressed but did not play for Mason County; participated in warmups. May be back for district play after all.:thumb:

By the way, nice to make the acquaintance of two BGP stalwarts this evening - theoldguy and paNDA.

Cov Cath played again tonight after their game against Dixie Heights last night? They had to be at least a tad bit fatigued.

Justin Lang is really underated in my book. He does alot on both ends of the floor that doesn't always show up in the stats. JMO

That shot of his, if it were a College or NBA game, would have been the #1 video of the night.

Wellbrock indeed had a huge game tonight and played his heart out with 18 pts and 12 Reb's.

It always fun playing in the Fieldhouse!

Thanks to all the stats folks from the official scorer for MC to the MC announcer for being so nice and helpful to me.

BTW, theoldguy would like to tip his hat to Cole Heimbrock for his play on the floor tonight. While his stats won't show it, Cole worked his butt off on the "D" side of the floor. Great job Cole and continue to play with the intensity that you played with tonight.
