^ None of the above, just one opinion. Am sure some agree, most don't.

Why didnt Bluford play much? He has been the one carrying Mason for most of the season.

Nobody wants to see 9th region basketball, unless it is Holmes. It's just a fact and tradition. Most people in this area are more familiar with and would rather watch the Lexington,Louisville or even the 'mountain schools' before they would Northern Kentucky schools. I wouldn't walk next door to The Fieldhouse to watch Mason County play Highlands,CovCath, Boone County, etc. and as you can tell most people agree. This is a Lexington-Herald area, not a Cincinnati Enquier area.:thumb:

But two years ago the place was packed with both the Crazies and the Royals student bodies and from what I was told at the time, it was one of the loudest students bodies that the Royals had all year. Both students bodies had a ball, and the CovCath Crazies loved seeing the Fieldhouse.

Just a tough sell to kids on a holiday weekend and with the UK/UT game at 9pm, well it was what it was.....

BTW I just about fell over, when I overheard one of Mason County Seniors (young lady) telling the PA man that she hopes it doesn't snow on Monday because she wants to get back to her classes! :idunno: As a senior she explained, when I pretended to faint (she laughed) she would like to graduate one day this year!:lol::lol:

Thank again to all and good luck

All in is right on with his assessment in my opinion. I also do not like watching the NKY teams except for Holmes because their style of play is usually that slow down stuff.

How many minutes did Bluford get last night? He has gotten the wrong end of the stick his entire career at Mason Co. and finally they had to play him because of injuries, and he showed them what he could do. I really hope that they do not do him wrong again and put him on the bench now that their "favorites" are back. Without him they wouldn't have anywhere the record they do, he definitely proved that he needs to be playing major minutes.

For the '08 game, the Mason County administration (boosters ??) wanted the Crazies to attend and do their stichk so much they paid for their admission. I attended the '08 game at the Fieldhouse and very much enjoyed the event. The back and forth between the student sections was great. A Mason County student wearing a Stetson was leading a cheer. The Crazies started chanting "Cowboy Cowboy give us the sign". Cowboy granted their wish giving them a huge smile and the 1 finger salute. The Mason County admin. immediately swooped in on Cowboy and started to walk him to the door which prompted the Crazies to start the "Let Cowboy Stay" chant. Cowboy got to stay. The game was fun to watch. The Mason County fans couldn't have been nicer or more welcoming. Some of the posts in this thread are surprizingly caustic and do not reflect well on the Royals. Best of luck to Mason County for a deep run in the tournament.

What was the call?

Jake was 2/6 FG and 2/4 FT with 2 TO's

Not enough touches unless he was kicking it out to wide open shooters.

How did MC defend him?

Ref under the basket called charge, ref by Mason bench must have signaled foul or started to call a hold by CCH player prior to charge but hesitated. Once the ref began to hand the ball to CCH player under the basket the Mason coach erupted. Ref that was by the Mason coach then called a conference. Three refs conferenced they decided to call a jump ball. ???

During the next time out I saw the ref ask the other if he blew his whistle. From my perspective mind you because some of this is speculation.
