I was at the game was was very impressed by the gutsy play of Scott. They just would not go away! Neither team could hit their shots, but they both kept fighting and made it a very physical battle. I think the refs kind of took control of this game with a lot of fouls on both teams. I wish they would of let them play a little more but I was also very impressed with Scott's pg #3. He was simply the best player on the floor, no questions about it. When he ripped Stenzel at the three point line and then tried to get the loose ball that was later picked up by Stenzel, and he passed to Rogers for the 3 really summed up the game. That was a very tough break, and then the tech on O'Connor ended the game. To GRC credit they took Scott's best shots and advanced but I can't tell you how impressed I was with #3. He deserved that preseason ranking that he got from the Catspause!

I've said this for many years, Pendleton fans are the best in the 10th region when it comes to supporting that basketball team! Whether it be district, region or state tournaments they bring it all out and pack whatever gym they're playing in. Wish more schools and communities would look over to Falmouth and copy what those people do. They have the support every school used to have back in the 50's and 60's and it is a shame some schools have lost it!

It just isn't about last night, this has been his whole career. O'Hearn has just used him and only played him when they need him. Rhueben is the reason Mason Co. is where they are at. If Rhueben would not have stepped up Mason Co. probably wouldn't be too much over 500. They didn't need him last night so they didn't play him but Monday night they will need him if they want a shot so he will play him then. That isn't how you do a kid, and plenty of Mason Co. supporters are behind me. That was the talk after the game, what in the world was Rhueben doing on the bench during the whole second half.

Chris O'Hearns coaching decision was an absolute JOKE! I have never been an O'Hearn fan but what he did today makes me sick. Blueford has carried this team after everybody got hurt and didn't even see the court in the second half of region! Blueford got real close to ending his basketball career tonight by WATCHING the second half? Chris O'Hearn are you serious? Yes, you will say it was matchups but them guard also have to guard Blueford on the other end. Tonight he missed 1 shot and got the rebound and put it back after he missed it, the guys guarding him came up to his shoulders. That was a huge a mismatch. But now they are just going to use Blueford they could get by without him tonight so that is what they did. Just like if nobody had ever got hurt Blueford would of never seen the court. He isn't one of their "favorites." Yes, it is this awful and the fans even started a chant trying to get him put in the game. You best bet he will be playing a lot in that Clark Co. game tho(if both teams advance) because they will have to have his length to even have a shot. If any Mason Co. fan including you bigblueinsanity want to take up for O'Hearn on this then you need to take off your O'Hearn classes and wake up. I feel so sorry for the kid, as he was pretty much in tears on the bench as he was close to watching his career end. Chris O'Hearn again, YOU ARE A JOKE!

Point exactly that's the reason we should put pressure on Cal to sign Timmy, we need the kids from eastern Kentucky on the roster when they are good enough to be there! Timmy Knipp is good enough to be there! Those kids understand Kentucky basketball and would do anything for it to be a success.

Definately need a shot clock in high school basketball! A case in point is East Carter, they will get up four points in a game then play stall ball (which they are good at) taking any and all enjoyment out of the game. I think it hurts b-ball attendance and support becuase nobody wants to shell out 5-7 dollars to watch a team thrown it around the horn. I'm tired of this cost argument as well, just a bum excuse in my book but in this economic situation those who don't want a shot clock can use it to their advantage!

I thought Rowan would pull the upset off, good win for a struggling Fairview contigent!

I would assume the 9th region even is better and more fan friendly this year becuase the 10th region tournament is back where it belongs thus lessening the confusion. I don't believe two tournaments can be at the BOK at the same time and it's not fair to either fans of the respective tournaments/schools for it to be.

I think we should start a TK2UK thread, put pressure on Coach Cal to show up at the Penny Mart for breakfast then head over to the school and sign Timmy Knipp on the dotted line!

I will take Pendleton by 2 in a back in forth battle! Hoping for the Wildcats that magic strikes twice as the last time a guard named Mason played in the Fieldhouse for Pendleton he totally torched the place, so maybe Monroe can get a little of the Mason O'Hara magic going this week.

You took the words out of my mouth Mustang, treasure that truly is what the place is anybody who has witnessed or played a game in the facility! I think it's one of the greatest basketball venues not only in our state but the entire country, especially when it's packed and rockin!

Is he hurt or did he get kicked off the team? I do not want to start rumors but I have heard about everything on the topic.

It is still not cheaper because the only way to buy them in advance is to drive up there(money in gas) or buy them off ticketmaster(there are fees with this). Last year to go to the championship game I know we payed more than $5 dollars. You will say that we got to see two games but it made me sick knowing that all the 10th region was was a warmup game for the 9th region. Also, I do not want to watch the 9th region championshp because all it is is that old slow down ball 40 to 40 game. Teams can't beat Holmes so they slow it down to try to have a chance. This year in the semifinals is also only $5 and that is perfect. Most fans do not go to both games so this way they can go see their team and only pay $5. You can not beat that.

Clark's weakness is definitely PG play and we all know in March that PG play is what is most important.

It is in Mason this year and will be next year also, so of course I could not be happier. For now I will just talk about this years regional tourney and the teams in it. Who wants to mess with buying them in advance? The only way to do it without any extra cost is to drive up to the BOKC and that right there is an expense with gas. With it being in the Fieldhouse we get the championship game at primetime and it only costing $5. Sure does! Mason definitely got the hardest first round game but Clark and Scott are on the same side. Like everybody knows Clark always has problems with Scott. It could be an interesting tourney.

You're are correct on the Pendleton County deal, matter of fact many from Falmouth had bought tickets at PCHS only to drive to Maysville and still be turned away with tickets in hand for the 05 final. As far as seating capacity old figures used to state 7,000 with the seats on the stage rolled out and no marked isles in the lower area. Fire marshalls came up with this new figure of 5,200 a couple of years back with new standards in place.
