addout Posted March 5, 2010 Author Posted March 5, 2010 Greenup County makes a huge comeback after being down by 21 points. Greenup County had 33 points after three quarters but thanks to 9 three pointers scores 31 points in the fourth quarter making a very exciting finish.
Musketeer_alum97 Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Congrats to Elloitt County and good luck on the rest of the tournament. Good job Greenup. Congrats on a good finish to the season.
Wildcat Dad Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Greenup showed a lot of heart in this game and made it interesting . Knipp was impressive ,he done a good job of letting the game come to him and then taking it over when he needed to . Jacob Ison came up very big for Elliott ,seemed like he owned the boards .
cat_fan Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Good win for the Lions, they got a tough one Saturday.
THE ROCK Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Congrats to Greenup never gave up had a great finish. The Tackett kid hit 6 three pointers. The Linthicum kid played very good defence on Knipp even though he scored 29 points. Linthicum and Stephenson had over 10 block shots between the two of them. The future should be bright for Greenup next year.
3rd Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 2 of Timmy's 29 came on this and 1 dunk. Good game Greenup, they sure did show lots of heart. Ison was a beast on the glass I believe he had 9 before half. He ended up with 15 pts and 14 boards I believe.
Snappy502 Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 I think we should start a TK2UK thread, put pressure on Coach Cal to show up at the Penny Mart for breakfast then head over to the school and sign Timmy Knipp on the dotted line!
sidelinedoc Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 I was very impressed with Greenup's game plan. I think it was hard to keep the pace and intensity up against Elliott and the Lions found a way to counter and work it to their advantage. Dustin Linthicum is in my mind the difference maker for the Musketeers. I can't wait until he realizes that he is a superstar and takes over the game next year. I realize that although Timmy Knipp scored 29, Dustin blocked 3 of his shots and made TK work harder for his shots and it definitely wore him down towards the end of the game. Anyone who doubted the talent and athletic ability of Greenup were awaken last night. I will say, depending on who their coach is next year, Greenup has to be considered a legitimate Regional Contender for the next 2 years. Congratulations to the Lions! Way to TCB!!!

cat_fan Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Good player, fun to watch, but calm down a little. When was the last Eastern Kentucky boy to sign on the dotted line for the Cats? Just asking a question, was it John at Paintsville.
