I agree. Forget walking on. I would play where I could get playing time. Whether that be Div. 1, 2 or 3.

I totally agree. Coach Trame is a great motivator and great with the kids. My sons would travel over an hour each way to attend his summer camp.

Insight is probably getting thin to put themselves in a good position to be acquired by someone like Comcast. Soon tv will be Comcast, Directv and Dish. Eventually, Comcast and Directv. IMHO.

I don't think this game will live up to the hype. For one thing it is a scrimmage. Secondly, Beatty does not try to win the first St. X game much less a scrimmage. Now with Highlands being a smaller school and with the reputation of their coach, I suspect they will treat it like the Super Bowl.

Every coach is different and I respect your opinion. When I got up 20 or down 20, the bench was empty. The other team usually keeps playing at that point. So the younger players are getting experience. But in a 32 min. game. Unless there is a total collapse. The game should be over once you are up 20.

As to point number 3... I coached 8th grade and freshman for 15 years. There were several times where we led by 30 and I let teams dribble out the clock. I even let it happen in a tournament where we had to play a much tougher team the next day. I know it sucks but to keep decorum I believe you just take the win and move on.

Where do all those Erlanger Lions kids go? Is that program still successful?

How would you feel watching your son who is seventh or eighth on the team sitting on the bench when his team is up 40? I don't know how that would feel.

I have zero stake with any of the four teams that played last night. I was a true neutral observer. Gallatin benefitted from some late calls that should have been play on situations. Williamstown did miss crucial free throws and layups. I will concede that their is a nominal advantage of playing at home and Gallatin got every bit of it. I wish I could see the final tonight but have boys LIT duty.

If Walton pushed it, they win by 20. Most of Owens shots were contested and a lot of the open ones were from bad angles. Walton's defense was very impressive. For the record, I am a neutral who just happened to be at the game.

I wonder if Gallatin will get the same help they received from the refs tomorrow like they got tonight.
