The Pit is a great place too see a game but a terrible place to find a parking spot.

According to the NKY contest, Manual being seriously overlooked. Last years game was closer than the score indicated. I believe Manual is much better this year. Should be very competitive.

Trinity kept Highlands running game pretty much in check outside of the fourth down 65 yard td run. They couldn't contain the long ball. It became the Birds go to play. Rock safetys looked lost. As a matter of fact, on the long td run, a new safety came in to replace and injured one. He looked very confused and when the ball was snapped both safetys charged the line creating the hole and no one was back. To Highlands credit, the wr's did a great job finding those long passes and getting in position to make the catch. The Rock safetys never could find the ball and were constantly out of position. I don't believe Trinity will see too many qb's that can throw 50 yards on the run. Once the safetys get it right, the Trinity defense will be very tough.

Trinity better tighten up the D or Lawrence North (2300 students) will win big. They are as good year in and year out like the big Cincy teams. The same for the St. X (Lou) game.

How sad is this? Saw a high school team practicing yesterday in shorts, t-shirt and helmets. Five minutes later while driving see 8-9 year olds in full gear practicing. My car said 93 degrees. Think there is a problem here? Parents, youth coaches get a clue.

I hope it is at 7:30. I need my Larosa's fix. Coming from Louisville, it makes a difference.

If the state semi-final is in Ft. Mitchell, I will put my money on Beachwood everytime.

Kenny Chesney is the absolute best at bringing out Americana and the memories of youth.

James Quick was outstanding. Looks like he grew a couple of inches and the speed was just wow at times. Qb #13 very good. If he is the new sophomore, he will be great over the next couple of years. Good size and speed on both sides. Typical Trinity, a work in progress until the playoffs.

Oh yeah, I miss and love Dixie Chili. I will be stopping there.

I grew up in Northern Kentucky. I as well as many others never felt like we got much respect from the rest of the state, even in football. When we played a power from another part of the state, we seemed to pull out just a little more. Northern Kentucky is like an island, Cincinnati doesn't want you and neither does the rest of the state. Just the way I always felt.

I still think it is a much bigger game for Dale and Highlands. It's too bad it is not a regular season game. I think Trinity will treat it a little less then they treat the regular season match up with St. X. Nice to win but the second game is the one that counts.

Wow! Only four home games this year. Also, the miles one must travel to go to the away games.

If Highlands played in their class, their playoffs would be a joke. I know having a big ugly monster usually ratchets up everyones play but I think their athletes would just be too much for the other schools their size. They dominate playing up as it is.

Wouldn't you say as a whole, the ninth region teams are a little stronger.
