Boy that's fair. Throw some kids trying to make through high school under the bus like that. Not at all surprised however.

Greenup County 14 Raceland 13
Well, I didn't take it as an insult, however, in my lifetime, Raceland has never been where Greenup has been. Rams are rebuilding, and have the support of the community. Always have. And I'm glad for the Greenup folk that it appears that the same is on the horizon for them. Glad to see you guys out of the cellar so to speak. Things look bright for the Greenup faithful and for that I'm glad. Just thought it was kinda funny to compare the two schools as reversing roles. Nothing could be farther from the truth. GC won a football game, and that's about it.

I think that the starting QB is and has been a forgone conclusion from season's onset. Good luck Rams.

Raceland/Fleming County predictions
Hard to even skip over when you post it in huge letters. And no it doesn't bother me. And I've read the post over and over and over trying to decipher it, and I'm sure there's some logic in there, but I simply couldn't find it. If you can't read my post and tell that I think that all the fluff posted on this site and in this forum blew some false sense of security to this group, well I obviously wasn't clear enough. This group has holes. With the expeption of Ram, most on here were touting this group as the next coming. I just think it's funny how you lose the talent that graduated and yet set the bar so high that it's unattainable. I hope that the players that are returning healthy are going to boost spirits and on field performance, yet if it doesn't there will be the absence of some on here with lame explanations why. I wish good luck to this bunch against Fleming, because I guarantee that Fleming is looking at this bunch and saying that it's not the same Raceland team as years past, of course, that is unless they have read the 45 thousand pages leading up to the season. If that's the case, they are scared to death.:scared:

Raceland/Fleming County predictions
Actually I was simply poking fun at your insistance on posting it. Considering that the Rams are a fortuitous fumble late in the 4th qtr at Boyd from being 0-2, there's ton's of room for improvement. But this lunch pail, TCB act hasn't really perfused down from these hallowed pages to the grass behind the high school.

Ashland/Raceland Predictions
I too hope that the Raceland QB has a good game. Here's hoping that all the participants finish the game uninjured. Should be a great atmosphere at Putnam. Putnam is and always has been the best venue for high school football in the area. Count me in the number of people who have fond memories there and hope that Friday night just adds to the resume' of that storied gridiron. As for my prediction, I'll say Raceland by 2. Extra point conversion denied for victory.

Ashland/Raceland Predictions
While I'll agree that the sophomore QB for Ashland has alot of potential, I wouldn't be surprised one bit if it is the Raceland QB that gets the majority of the love after this one.

Well Ed's dead. So, answer the question, did they go into Raceland and do that? IF so, did you see this? Or is this yet another really thin grapevine?

It is my understanding that coaches, players, and parents from many area schools have contacted Rose Hill kids or their immediate families in order to get them to transfer. At this point only one has be successful. But please don't let the facts get in the way of an unbelievable thread. And why did two of them walk into a certain classroom during school hours to get permission to join the football team when their transfer is complete? Seems even Ashton Kutcher would not go to these lengths to create a "prank" Oh wait I see the TV cameras are we being Punk'd? LOL So, by the highlighted, you're telling me that those kids went into Raceland during school hours to ask if they'd be able to play football? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Rose Hill's Michael Terry to Fairview?
You may be right. I know that at our school, we all are on the same page and there are channels that we all must go through when dealing with issues and there aren't many situations that coaches and administration aren't all in tune with what's going on. However, from the talk at a recent meeting in Lex. about this issue, there seems to be only one avenue that has problems. I've been more than clear on what that avenue happens to be. If there are others, then you are correct, they'll come out in the wash. All I can say with much certainty is that there is only one theme with the problems there that I'm aware of. :thumb:

Rose Hill's Michael Terry to Fairview?
Yeah, because that happens all the time. Frankly, this isn't about the kid. No one on here wishes him anything but good. And it does matter if rules were broken. You catchin' on?

Rose Hill's Michael Terry to Fairview?
Does the fact that Terry has to cross the Ohio River to get to school every morning have any bearing on his eligibility?

Rose Hill's Michael Terry to Fairview?
I spoke with the athletic director, 2 parents and 2 players. That close enough to the source? Bottom line is that there's really only one reason that they're in the situation they're in currently and it starts with Tim and ends with Fraley. Contrary to popular belief from those around the area who think that they have the scoop, there's no issue with Euton, Jackson, Mayo or the Pope. Not sure how it could be more clear. But by all means, if anyone has any other information that's credible, let's see it and deep six the innuendo.

Rose Hill's Michael Terry to Fairview?
Hmm. Since we've crossed this line, I'll go ahead and spill my guts on what I've been told, some first hand, some second hand. This whole issue stems from the former coach Tim Fraley and some mis-steps he took while at the helm at The Hill. These aren't allegations of wrong-doings that need to be reported at the KHSAA, lest I break the rule #4, because they've already been reported and are on record. Sadly, his issues will follow Rose Hill the rest of their days. I have no clue what will come of the issue with regards to anything punitive at Rose Hill, however, I hope that some of the junk pulled by the former coach comes back to bite him. Not only were things done to sink the ship there, I have it also on good authority that his ways haven't changed. Perhaps I should stop there so that I don't cross the line with the rules. Here's hoping that those who have done wrong get what's coming to them. As for the kids, they will ultimately be the losers here. Shame that the sins of some infiltrate the lives of many others. Good luck to those kids no matter where they end up. Hope that eligibility issues don't arise from all of this if indeed that they will have to look elsewhere to play.:thumb:

Boyd County 2009/2010
My goodness where do I start? Unreal how you have dumped this all in the lap of a guy who took over a dynasty. Wait, maybe I should remove the dy and just put nasty. Let's see, to start, one of the most storied coaches in school history came back for one season, he had a behemoth in the middle, and realized that they were destined to be mired in misery for years to come (and Roger became the Dodger and who could blame him?). You make it sound like Davey is simply staring at 5 D1 forwards and centers miring away over on the pine. That's sadly not the truth Mr. No Guts. I know all of the kids at Boyd. I assume you do to. I think they give tremendous effort for Dave. Oh, did I mention that coaches weren't beating down the doors to sit in the first seat over there in Summit? Didn't want to leave that out. The kids I've seen last season and all summer (you have watched summer basketball haven't you) play hard. Frankly, they're not overly skilled. It is what it is. So it's obviously very supportive when you throw the coach under the bus as you have so eloquently done. I wish you could take the hand he's been dealt and see if you can get out of the cellar in the region. Unless there are some Owens kids coming in via the Ramey route, Boyd will be the same as last season, with the exception of one year more mature. Shame that those who graduate from there can't simply get behind the guy who's calling the shots, instead of calling veiled shots of their own from behind a username. Good luck to Boyd this season.:thumb: And for the record, Kyle Macy nor Joe B. nor Adolf Rupp would have fared much better last season at Boyd. I commend Dave for sticking it out!!
