Bell is closer in the current proposal to teams they could play in the state Championship (Breathit, Pike Central, Belfry) than they are to their own district (Wayne and Casey). Makes no sense!!! I would hope that the brains in the KHSAA could look at a map and see that is a huge problem????? How many fans does anyone think will make the trip to Bell from Central or PT for a game or vise versa?

If I am seeing this right Bell and Corbin will be in the West in a Region with Louisville Central? Seems that travel is excessive? Not sure what KHSAA is thinking. You have district 5 which is Bourbon and Estill that are a lot closer than District 4 Bell and Corbin are to Louisville.

Holcomb at Breathit, Petersen at Fleming Co., Greer at Bell Co., Calebs at Cawood, Foley at Frankfort, Poynter at Bourbon somewhat?, Mills at Knox, Robbins at Marion. I am sure their is a few more? Is that enough?

Knox has improved as a program over the years that is for certain but so has Bell. I think Bell has more athletes on both sides of the ball, the OL/DL will offset each other and they have a marked advantage in Coaching. Bell Wins.

Whitley will compete but they don't have the horses they had the past few seasons. HC 21 WC 14

They have a Redshirting program at Knox, thus the TRUE FRESHMAN. Knox by 100 if they want it to be. MCC is worse than they have been.

I would say. Lawrence Co. had some really good years but never got anything done in the 90's- early 2000's, then of course last year. M'boro Henry Clay the past 8 years or so. Always huge expectations but get very little done. On the topic of Johnson Central IMO they have been the 2nd best team in 5A for quiet a few years now. Just too bad they have been in the same Semi-state as HHS.

So you are saying you all are full of it? J/K I think Coach Parkey does a good job, he has not had a lot of talent to work with.

Exactly. You have these 4A teams less than an hour or so from Danville: LexCath, Taylor Co, Rockcastle Co, Marion Co., Mercer Co., Spencer Co. and Harrison Co. In 5A they would have: West Jess, East Jess, Madison So. and Lincoln Co. (clearly 5A would be a much easier district)

Pretty funny Johnson Central petitions to move down to 4A and now they are going to petition to move up to 5A. I don't see JC or Boyle winning their case to move up. IMO

As long as they aren't Srs does it matter? This happens alot down in SEKY. Most teams don't have enough players to field a competitive JV team without using some Varsity starters that are underclassmen. Each Coach has the right to do what is right for his team.
