I thought Cellking might start this one but I'll go ahead. McCreary is struggling so far, KC seems to improve weekly. The KC defense has been strong all year and is only getting better. The offense, after a slow start, has really clicked the past couple of weeks both on the ground and through the air. Knox platoons their linemen and both the O and D are huge.

I think you are right on this one. Knox Centrals line will averag 230 lbs. The inside linbackers are at least 220 lbs. They are all quick for their size. I can't see anyone running up the middle on them. All of these young men have played football since 3rd grade. Williamsburg only got one 1st down on them and that was due to a penalty. However they did score twice on our JV.

Their main strength is in the trenches. Excellent size along both the offensive and defensive lines. Exceptional quickness especially among the defensive front four. The corners and reciever positions are manned by a pair of cousins, the Canadys. The younger cousin, Jeffrey, was rated the top reciever this summer in camps in both Oklahoma and Alabama. The running back name is Turpin. Decent speed and moves but benches 400 lbs. Tough to bring down. Qb is a jr named Barger. Good scrambler and becoming more accurate as passer each game. Offensive coordinator (and former Mr. Football) Scottie Russell has shown an almost equal fondness of both the run and pass.

 

Overall, a good and improving offense but an outstanding defense. Tough team to score on.

I wish we had more folks who are willing to give summaries of teams outside the golden triangle.

While think MCC can be and will be better than they have showed so far, this isn't the week. Knox runs the clock.

This will definately be a tough week for my Raiders. Coach Mills has Knox Central on the rise to be an elite force in KY high school football. These guys live in the weight-room in the off-season and that is where it is at, it hasn't happened over-nite it has taken years of hard work and having the players buy into a system that gets them bigger faster and stronger. My biggest piece of advice to the Raiders under-classmen is to take note of Knox centrals off season program and learn from it because that is what has gotten them to this point and is what will keep the program going up hill. You have to want it bad enough to work for it, the coaches can't want it or do it for you. "The only place success comes before work is in the dictionary!" Now Raiders go out this week and lay it on the line, have confidence in yourself, play fundamental football and play at 100% at all times so when you leave the field you can hold your head high and look your teammates in the eyes knowing you did your best and that is all anyone can ask! Go Get'em Guys!
