No, Hatton didn't play football last year....this is his first year. Toss in Hassel, Evans and Fox with the three mentioned above and there's plenty to be excited about in Edgewood this upcoming season.

I don't know about the paperwork but he's a no brainer.

On the transferred in side, Jordan Fox from Jackson Co who will be a strong contender to run the point. This is the only one I'm aware of. There were a few other stories and names swirling around that never happened. No outbound transfers from last years roster other than a JV player.

That happens. I've never been a fan of using middle school as a barometer as to what type of varsity player a kid will turn out to be. Kids progress at different rates. I've seen "supserstar-ish" middle school players barely sniff the floor at the varsity level. Have also seen kids that were 2nd or 3rd off the bench go on to pass other kids up and become excellent varsity players. One summer can make a big difference in certain cases.

I'm not quite sure I follow you on the Dixie/Turkeyfoot statement. Are you saying Dixie is missing out on players?

CovCath's defense hasn't exactly been stellar either. 35 or more points in 4 of their last 6 games. They both have plenty of room for improvement.

So how are their basketball skills?

I would love to have 5 TD's, 3 passing,2 rushing 336yds passing and have it considered an off game....especially with no blocking.
