Two games straight with opponents having career games shooting vs a common opponent means absolutely nothing, let’s talk about Ky’s defense again in about 10 more games, then the stats will mean so much more.

If you have played or been watching basketball for any period of time, you fully realize that Louisville and MichSt both shot the rock as well as they could vs Ky and probably will not repeat that effort again this season. So saying that Ky is falling apart this early into a season is absurd.

Pope’s post game interview was quite impressive as he took the blame himself and didn’t throw players under the bus as our previous coach had done many times.

Very early in the season and two starters out, shot selection was not very good with guys firing shots that shouldn’t be, Garrison is a detriment while on the floor and other bigs are playing soft, lots of improvement has to happen but still early on.

This Ky fan isn’t the least bit concerned about the defensive effort last night as that will improve tremendously under Pope, other facets of their game will also improve and that being free throw shooting and turnover ratio to name a few, Louisville has a very nice team that played exceptionally well last evening, just can’t see that consistency throughout the remainder of the season.

20 assists and only 6 turnovers is unsustainable, let me know the next game that happens in vs quality competition please!
