I think it's easily obtained on the scoreboard link posted at the top of the girls basketball forum. There wasn't even a score in the Louisville paper either.

Well they can't drop Covington Catholic.

I think Highlands did one better. They went after the Bully that beat up St. X Louisville and Trinity and sent him back across the river. I guess Highlands kinda did the dirty work for the Louisville powerhouses.

Please name 25 schools that are better than Highlands.

Interested to hear how Holmes loses to NC by 44 and only by 13 to Ryle.

The Highlands omission is a big miss. My gosh just a little research. I just don't think enough people know how good Ryle is. They are equally as deserving.

Austin Sheehan will make his mark next year as a receiver for Highlands. Tremendous football speed and runs great routes.

I agree with you. I'm a Birds fan, but also realize anything can happen when you play the caliber of teams like St. X KY or Louisville Trinity. We have got to get a regular season game scheduled. I would rather drive and hour and a half and play Ky St. X and/or Louisville Trinity than travel across the river to play an Ohio team. The crowds would be huge and imagine the trash talking we could do on here:laugh:. It would be great for our programs and for KY high school football. Let's everybody start stepping up including North Hardin and Johnson Central. I have a lot of respect for Bowling Green and Manual for scheduling the tougher teams in this state. There are 1A and 2A schools in Northern KY, (Beechwood and NCC) playing tougher schedules than the much bigger schools. So coaches put your pride on the shelf, you may loose a couple more game than you normally would have, but your team will be far better prepared come playoff time.

Highlands always finds a way. If you would have told Ryle fans after the first Highlands game that Bardo would not be quarterbacking and Collinsworth would be out in the next match up I think most of them would have been smelling blood in the water. Look what happened, "same old result." Adjustments will be made, players will be developed and again Highlands will be the team to beat in Northern Kentucky next year.

I guess I didn't ask the question very well. Someone actually heard the Pulaski coach say this? I thought there was just an assumption that he was doing that.

John Hardin's stats look pretty good until you take a good look at their competition. 1. Their competitions combined record this year is 59 wins and 88 losses. 2. Only 4 of John Hardin’s opponents have winning records. 3. On average John Hardin’s opponents averaged 18 points a game while giving up 24 points a game. 4. John Hardin played 4 games in which their opponents combined for a record of 4-38. Some I'm sure will blow this off, but it will become very telling when all is said and done.

How do we know the Coach was trash talking and not just wishing him luck?

When you put as much effort into the program as Highlands does there is no "gettin lucky," there is no reliance on luck. They won because of the heads up play of a lineman, (Grubbs). If they lost that game it wouldn't have been because Bryan Station got lucky.

We often hear how sports isn't the most important thing in the world. But this article I think demonstrates how it can be used to make tough situations better. Tyler Combs you are a class act from the word go! It was nice that the Birds "Big Uglys" got their mugs shown this year. I wasn't just throwing the word cowardly around. I couldn't agree more that the play warrants further investigation. Viewing it I have no doubt that it was intentionally done with the purpose of hurting someone who was in a totally defenseless position. I'm not surprised that only a 15 yard penalty was called. Most of the officiating crews I've seen this year have lacked a take control mentality.

It was on of the dirtiest plays I've seen in high school football in a long time. It was a cowardly play.

Pulaski lost to Barren County earlier in the year. Barren County lost to Warren Central 54-0 and lost to Bowling Green 49-0.
