Is there any word on the Highlands-South Oldham game - an early season intersting faceoff between tow top-tier teams from their respective regions?

Scoreboard says South Oldham by 2 69 67 Hard to imagine that but........

South Oldham had a group that wouldn't go away. They trailed most of the game and McGuffin hits a 3 to send the game into overtime. This is the first win of the season for Frank Wright's club after playing some high quality opponents. Both teams gave a great effort and it is a shame one had to lose this one.

Where was it played? Highlands had a game like that late last year against SK at home and couldn't put it away.

I was surprised to hear about this score. I thought South Oldham would keep it close but I thought Highlands would be too tough. Very nice win for SO after struggling out the gates.

Although South has struggled out of the game against brutal competition, this isn't a big surprise at all.

I agree with you, don't get me wrong. Just figured Highlands would win because they were another tough team for South Oldham. I was just surprised.

Very very impressed with Katie Allen. She is a high quality player, great shooter, and moves well without the ball. I would say what hurt them was fatigue - they pretty much just played 6 players and by the end of the game, they were gassed.

 

She has nothing to hang her head about- she played a great game.

Don't ever expect to see any game story or box score in the paper if Highlands loses on the road to an out of region opponent. They seem to forget to call the loses in.

I think it's easily obtained on the scoreboard link posted at the top of the girls basketball forum. There wasn't even a score in the Louisville paper either.
