These types of things don't really matter IMO. Holmes has been the best team in the state all season and has the resume to back it up. But none of these polls matter, what matters is who cuts the nets down Saturday March 21st.

Guard Play for East, Bair needs to show up like he did last season in the district tourney and they need to get the ball in to Barnhill every chance they get. I would assume Timmy Knipp will be guarding Barnhill, and Timmy can be a bit timid at times in the paint. So go right at Timmy, get him into foul trouble, establish Bair and keep feeding Barnhill on the block. Also, I think that Evan Faulkner and Chris Knipp will be big factors in a win for EC. Ferguson and Ethan will have theirs but they need Evan, Chris, Timmy and solid bench play to win.

Agreed, West Carter started the season out hot playing some weak out-of-region teams and I think they hit their peak in the loss at home to Elliott County in January. I think Morgan is playing much better right now and I will take them by 14.

Jon Hood will take Mr. Basketball, hopefully he pans out for UK better than Darius has so far.

Good call on that. :thumb: I've always heard a rumor that he was going to move to Warren Central at the end of last year's season. I don't know if there is any validity to this, but I really don't see him staying at EC after this season.

Al Horford was one of the better shot blockers in America in the two years that Florida was dominant and he was only 6'9. Longer arms enables you to play bigger than you are. Shelden Williams was the same way while at Duke. Timmy is 6'7, but has long arms, which makes him able to play taller than he really is.

True, I think some of those bad habits could have been put to rest earlier, had he been with a coach with an eye for developing talent.

I'll agree with CameraMan, That Warren Central team was the best team of the last ten years IMO. Marescka (sp) and Dewalt were athletic as it got and so was their point-can't remember the name off the top of my head. Take a look at this:

He has the ability to, but the work ethic needs to be worked on a lot to get him to play at the highest level every minute he's on the floor.
