Overall, I think the night went well. During the 10 play apiece the Bobcats scored once and Greenup didnt score. During the 10 plays the bobcats took two ints, to for sure scores. When the scrimmage went to 4 8 min quarters. Neither team scored in the first half. In the third quarter Greenup put up a nice touchdown on some young guys. Once the Bobcat defense starters came in they gave up one other touchdown. The bobcat offense didnt score. During the 4th quarter, Greenup outscored the bobcat jv 14 to nothing. I was really impressed with the bobcat football team. It ended up 28 to nothing and they poured water on the head coach after the game but the game was nothing like the score on the scoreboard. Good Luck Cats!

Who are they scrimmaging?

On the khsaa website, it has them listed as having 10 out of 25 players graduate. It is similar to the Betsy Layne team from last year. Looking forward to pplaying them.

How many starters do they have coming back on offense and defense? They got my bobcats in week 0.

The bobcats also play Knott County.

Cup Cake Schedule? I am almost sure Betsy Layne has been the cup cake for the past 30 or 35 years. Come on, Blackcat I know you should give respect to him. The blackcats Coach Derossett was at Betsy Layne and didnt have as much success as Parsons.

I got to give it to Betsy Layne's Head Football Coach Jonathan Parsons They won more games this year than EVER in one season(7-4). Hosted first ever playoff game, lost a very respectable game. This program has been around for 30 years and many couldnt win there and he has done an amazing job especially this year. They have been to the playoffs twice in schools history with this year being one of the two. On a side note, he coaches the 3rd and 4th grade team.

Betsy Layne will be hosting its first ever home playoff game this friday. They will be hosting a very tough Pineville team. This is an amazing accomplishment after last nights win against Jenkins they break the all time wins record for one season with a 7-3 record. I think with a program that was contemplating shutting down the program about 7 years ago, the Betsy Layne program is definitely stronger than it ever has been. I have to congratulate the players, coaches, and anyone that have ever wore the bobcat jersey!

Here is what I got. Paintsville with 5 points. (South Floyd 2, Phelps 2) thats 4 but they play each other which will make 5. Their win over AC is void dealing with three team tie. AC with 5 points. (South Floyd 2, Phelps 2) thats also 4 but they play each other which will make 5. If they beat BL it will also be void dealing with three team tie. BL with 7 points. (South Floyd 2, Phelps 2, Burch 2) thats 6 but SF and Phelps play each other that will make 7. If you beat a team that finishes with 0 wins, you dont get points for it. Example, Jackson County and Knott Central. I dont know what I got is correct, but sounds great to me.

That wouldn't be to bad, I would take Mud Creek boys any day.

I posted this last time. Here is the scenario, let me know who holds the tie breaker of the three teams. Betsy Layne Allen Central Paintsville If BL beat Paintsville, AC beats BL, and Paintsville beat AC who gets the tie-breaker?

Can Betsy Layne's magical season continue?

If they are a three way tie, and each team beat each other, how do they determine it then?

I know we are a little less than a month from getting district info. I was just wondering if you know anyone that is moving up.

It could have been a lot worse. Penalties for the night. BL 21 Jackson 4. Three touchdowns called back. But it was a good ending to a long bus trip.

With Shelby Valley being the 1st team to drop down, I would say Betsy Layne, Prestonsburg and Shelby Valley will be a district with either Bath/Leslie/Russell. In my opinion.

What will the districts look like? I think Betsy Layne will be with Prestonsburg, but after that, I think it is a toss up.
