Did Brossart play alot of 7 on 7? The hardest part for the Bobcats will be not knowing anything about the Mustangs and vice versa.

Its at Betsy Layne. The first game of the season on August 21st. I think it is the bobcat bowl.

I think it will be a good game. Brossart a young team hopefully will give the bobcats a upper hand. Its really hard to say, because I never seen this team play. I know their record and teams they played but they play in the hardest district in the state.

I see that we have some Betsy Layne fans. I got a couple of questions for you. Who is the leading wins coach in Betsy Layne history. I heard it was Derossett with 18. Also what is the longest tenure for a coach is?

I thought under the reign of Coach Derossett, they was never in district.

What I have been told, 88 was their best year with an 6-4 record. They were in district and the only the top two seeds go to the playoffs. In the 90's under then Coach Derossett, they were out of district and played some teams that was under par. The schedule this year is definitely not the hardest but they are playing two 3A schools and the rest are 1A schools. Really excited about the season hope everything goes well.

Their working hard and would love to make the playoffs two years in a row.

Pikeville is putting in a very difficult offense, so they will be learning. Paintsville lost their talented quarterback, so anything is possible there. Allen Central plays Betsy Layne in week 9. If AC uses the horses all season the bobcats can surprise them. Phelps is a good team but really young. South Floyd will be better, but really really young. The bobcats could be the most surprising team in the district if they stay healthy and work hard.

Yeah, he was just a sophomore. Also the other running back, Casey Adkins also a sophomore is coming back he was on pace to get a 1,000 yards also before an season ending injury. Their quarterback Nathan Martin is also coming back. This season looks really good if they stay healthy.

Nathan Martin will be a great quarterback. He is the signal caller for Betsy Layne. He put them in the playoffs and is going to be just a junior.
