Do they even have a high school or middle school coach in place at this point?

Does anyone know how things are going so far? Are the numbers good right now in the early going? Sure hope this kicks BC into another gear for football. Thanks.

I've heard people singing the praises of the new coach. I don't follow the football program very much, but what little I do hear sounds positive.

How many starters do they have coming back on offense and defense?

 

They got my bobcats in week 0.

They lost 8 seniors last year with 6 of them starting on both sides of the ball, but they have returning qp Jacob Tucker and a few new nice kids.

On the khsaa website, it has them listed as having 10 out of 25 players graduate. It is similar to the Betsy Layne team from last year. Looking forward to pplaying them.

Did I hear right that some upperclassmen (athlete upperclassmen, that is) who have never played before are playing this year? Bracken's best season was its inaugural one, when a lot of the basketball players also played football. They haven't had much of that (if any?) since then.

That team had a stud RB, which Bracken hasn't had since. A few district wins would get a home playoff game, which would be a major accomplishment.

Yes. My son played for them last year and now is out of school and he always tried to get his basketball buddies out to play. He never could and this year I think 2 or 3 have came and they are good at it. Wish they came out a few years ago.

No doubt on the RB, but he was back the following season & the team was not nearly as good. If BC is going to have any semblance of a football program, I think some of the basketball players will have to put on the pads.
