IMO Paris would not help much on the football side. A few years ago i woulve said otherwise. But Paris hasn't had a team able to even compete in the district in years. As far as basketball goes I have no idea.

Now I understand your point of view:thumb:. Have you said this instead of quoting me and saying what you did I wouldn't have blinked an eye. I would've simply agreed with you. I guess it's because everyone was quick to say congrats last year. But everyones been even quicker to insult or say things this year. I apologize for taking your post wrong.:isurrender:

Defensively alot of experience is there. But offensively you are correct. New QB's, runningbacks, and alot of the Oline. I really think if the coaches let Farley settle in, he will matture alot over these next few games. This team needs a leader! Someone to get after it on every play, get after someone else who isn't, and be the first one there to pick them up and tell them good job.

The ones in the Raceland forums have been terribly off this year.

When I was a junior Coaches tried to "shame" a player in my class as well. They shamed him with over 150 yeards rushing and 2 tds against East Carter. Needless to say I dont think that worked well:lol: so it was never done again. But I do get your point in what you are saying.

This is nothing new and doesn't surprise me at all. It's always done this way, I played a JV game against almost the whole Varsity Lewis Co. team once. And played one against Greenup as well.

This is very true Doc. And it shows on Friday nights too. It seems like everyone is just out to get "theirs". It's almost like they all hate eachother and don't even wanna play next to one another. If this problem can be fixed, the rams will turn this thing around! It's not a matter of talent and skill anymore.

Most of the time I would agree with you. But I watched the refs keep Ashland in this game in 05. And that's not the only time it has happened. I will say in their defense, it isn't any better when you go across the river to play either. Example: when Beechwood came to Ironton a few years ago. So I actually enjoyed seeing it happen. This Ashland team is just as good or better than the 05 team. With that said is Ironton better than they were in 05?

As far as expectations go. I did not have that high of expectations at all. But then you started hearing how great these transfers were and such. And I really thought if they could "mesh" together and fit into the Raceland system it might be a pretty good year. No further comment needed for how that has turned out for us. I was blown away this week at the game. And it had nothing to do with the game itself. I actually saw an injured upperclassmen player walk off the sidelines and go to the fence in front of the concession stand. Where he turned his back, and conversated with fans and people along the fence. Not even caring what was going on in this ballgame. Keep in mind this wasn't a blowout game on either side. I don't know if things have changed that much since I played or what. :idunno:

I absolutely agree. Anytime you can bring someone who was college level talent to work with the boys is great! I had this conversation with several others yesterday. Raceland is struggling on the offensive side of the ball this year. In every single category, there were a few times Friday were Bobby Mckee didn't even have a defender across from him in the slot position. Same goes with Loren Huffman. Nothing was down about it, no adjustments at halftime. And before the comments come up about last year. I felt the same way about this then as well. But honestly they could've announced over the PA who was getting the ball and where. And you still would've seen a touchdown or a first down. That's simply because the personnel, talent, and size was there. But I have faith and think things are going to turnaround. Changes will be made this week after the tough loss to Greenup. Let's hope I'm right!

If you don't mind me asking. What teams were you supporting? Sounds like a good day if you ask me! I can never get enough of Highschool/College football!!

Still gonna support the RAMS! And they CAN win this game if they come out to play. Heres a stat for you RAMS. Raceland has not beat East Carter at home since 2002! Thats 6 years withouth a home victory against the Raiders on your home field! Rams 14 Raiders 13 :popcorn:

Congrats to Greenup on this win. They believed they could win and they did! As for Raceland I really don't even know where to start. It's gong to be a long season if they don't get on track!
