Looks like both Mayfieldand Crittenden Co's location hurts them. They have to play out of state teams to get some solid competition. And playing out state teams will not impress most people no matter what they have won last year or what they're ranked. Also like to add I have been to Mayfield. When I was in high school we went there for team camp my senior season in 2003. Very nice facilities there and a nice town :thumb:.

It just depends on where you look at the polls at. Tennessee football looks very confusing so many rankings have different things. Here's an overall ranking for Trousdale. 68. TROUSDALE COUNTY 2A 5 1 0 93.43 118.59

Which is correct. Beechwood may have lost 3 games this season. And Mayfield and Crittenden county are undefeated. But IMO Mayfield nor Crittenden County could beat ANY of the teams Beechwood has lost to this season. No 1A team could.

LCA did not even have a football team until 2001. But we all know why private schools are better than public.

1) Lex. Christian 2) Beechwood 3) Mayfield 4) Bellevue 5) Frankfort(with Weaver I may have ranked them tied with Mayfield) 5) Crittenden County(their schedule is awful, but haven't played a close game with anyone all season. Closests was with the Illionois team.) With the loss to Breathitt, Hazard falls into the rest which are to close to call. Between Raceland, Fairview, and Pikeville. As the district progresses it should become more clear to which teams deserve what spots. I still think Bellevue and Mayfield would be a very close football game. And still do not think anyone will beat LCA or Beechwood out of the playoffs.

Crittenden County Massac, Illinois 5-1, Averaging 31 points per game this year, Crit Co. held them to 7. That is the least they have scored in a game all season. Hopkins County Central 2-4, they have only scored 48 points folks, with a 2 touchdown game having only occured once. They have only scored 7touchdowns ALL SEASON, teams score more than that in one game! McClean County 2-4, only wins were against Todd County Central and Webster County, both have yet to win a ballgame this season. Webster County 0-7, never scored more than two touchdowns in a single game. Have been outscored 59-320. Caldwell County 2-4, lost to Hopkins County Central who's stats speak for themselves above. Ballard Memorial 1-5, who's only win was over Fulton City who is winless this season and been outscored 11-384. Mayfield should definately beat this team this year. The only reason I even put this team in the rankings is because they haven't actually had a close game with anyone thus far. Closest game was 20 points against the Illionois team. Until this team is truly tested they could be a 4th ranked team or down there with Raceland, Fairview, Hazard.

Here is a small break down of both Mayfield and Crittenden County's schedules starting with Mayfield. MAYFIELD Trousdale County, TN 5-1 Mayfield's best quality win. They have outscored their opponents 275-137 but Mayfield scored the most against them all season with 48. Marshall County 0-7, been outscored 290-73. Paducah Tilghman 3-4 53-7 loss against Fort Campbell, only wins are against Beaumont, MO(2-4), Calloway County(3-4), Webster County(0-7). Calloway County 3-4 Only wins are against; Trigg County(2-4, been outscored 67-129). Heath(3-3, who's only wins are Ballard Reidland and Webster County who have only won 4 games between the three). Fulton County(0-7). Graves County 4-2, Mayfield's second best opponent they have faced. Graves County lost 17-7 against Lone Oak who did beat Lex Cath. Fulton County 0-7 been outscored 104-311. Fulton City 1-6 been outscored 115-384 including a loss to Murray of 82-6! I still don't put much stock in this schedule at all. But I respect it a little bit more than I previously did with the wins against Graves County, and The Tennessee team. However I still do not think they will beat LCA or Beechwood. But I do give them a #3 rank.

I did not give Mayfield its due credit. I might not have with Crit County either. Im currently looking at schedules. And will RERANK my previous rankings in a few.

Very true, but if they had played these teams close it would be different. But there has only been two occasions where they haven't scored over 50+. One of those bieng a Tennessee team, and the other bieng Lex Cath. Fort Campbell had its closest game all year with the Tenn team. And Lex Cath plays teams like Trinity, St. X, and Boyle Co. And nobody really thought Breathitt would be sitting where they are this year. So that one wasn't intentionally scheduled to be such an easy game. And they still play Corbin who has only lost one game thus far this season. I am currently looking at schedules of both Mayfield, And Crit Co. I already admit I did NOT give Mayfield as much credit as they deserve and will rerank my teams again due to that. I retract previous statements. I will post shortly with stats to backup my "new" opinion.

^ I agree, I think LCA would beat both Mayfield and Crit Co. by at least 30+. Neither team is close to as good as Lex Cath. And look at the numbers Hayden and Whit put up against them. Nobody will hold either one of them to under 100 yards the rest of the season.

Lawerence Co. shuts down Greenup's offense and wins by two TDs.

Rams, throw away your press clippings, records, who's scored how much on who and who's beat who. This one will come down to who's more mentally focused. And who just wants this WIN! This is for a secured number 2 seed in the district! I don't know the exact stats but I would say Raceland hasn't fell below second seed since 2004. This is a rivalry game, you have already lost bragging rights to Greenup and Ashland. Are you going to give them up against the boys from the mossy bottom too? Come out hard play hard and play TICKED off! This game means something to alot of people including me! Anyone who knows me knows I HATE losing to Fairview! Put in the work this week get better, and have fun! If some makes a sack pick him up and beat his head in with emmotion!

^ To add to my post 21 points is the least amount of points Raceland has scored on Paris in almost 10 years! It's the least amount since 2000's score of 3(Aaron Pettrey).

Lack of concentration. One fumble was Barr which is to be expected he hasn't played a live game in almost a year. The other was Farley in the backfield. If i'm coach Hoof, this week i'm working with Farley on staying in the pocket. He tends to scramble way to soon and tends to panic, and that's when bad things happen. I believe that is when both of his interceptions occured, was out of the rollout or scramble. He's an excellent pocket passer. One of the better ones I have seen at Raceland. I would like to see him get back to going downfield like he did in the BC game in the beginning of the year. He has a strong arm, and Loren Huffman can catch anything you throw at him. Paris had man to man coverage all night on Huffman on the outside. I don't think Loren will face a DB all season that can cover him one on one. But i'm sure the coaches are watching this film and saying the same thing. They'll have the boys ready to play come friday night!

What in the world happened? I thought for sure GC had this one. Sounds like our game against Boyd Co. I still imagine Carter had over 200 yards rushing.

It was 21-0 Raceland. We made several mistakes in this game offensively. We had 4 TURNOVERS! Turnovers kill you in close games! We are still having problems scoring in the redzone as well. However, I do want to brag on the defense. They played very well tonight. Paris' offense could not get anything done against the rams defense. Especially through the air, the qb was bieng chased and pressured all night. Pretty good achievement for the rams since Paris did put up 22 against Fairview. Still not playing like we did against East Carter yet.! But next week is the first real test in district play. Take it home with you, sleep on it, and wake up seeing red!
