This week Arch Rival Fairview visits Raceland for a huge district game, the Rams have won 3 in a row and are now at 4-3 on the season after a very rough start.

Fairview is at 5-1 on the season and last week were ranked #5 in the State Class A. Fairview has also had a bye week leading into this one and two weeks to prepare for the Rams. Fairview imo will no doubt be the favorite and should be, they are a very good football team and are very well coached.

What are everyones thoughts and predictions on this one?

The Raceland team has to decide who they are and how this team wants to be remembered. Do they want people to be talking for next 30 years about how they lost to Fairview? Do they want to have a home playoff game this year to begin the playoffs? Do they want to go into Lexington for a battle for the District Championship, again?

Raceland better wake up and smell the napalm, because it going to be a battle this Friday in Raceland, and Fairview expects to knock the Rams off and send them into the playoffs as the number three seed.

Rams, Fairview expects to win, they will come out with emotion and determination, with the expectations of punching you in mouth and watching you wither like a kindergarten after having his lunch money taken and crying like a baby.

What are you going to do?

Raceland needs to come out just like Ram says. If not they will be in trouble. We can win this game as long as you play the game the way it should be played. Ram has said everything that needs to be said about that.

I was looking at common teams each have played. There is three teams both have played. Boyd Co, East Carter and Paris. Fairview is 2-1 vs those teams while Raceland is 3-0. Fairview losing to East Carter 13-16. In those three games Fairview offense points per game was 25.6 while giving up on defense 13.6. Raceland avg. 31.3ppg while giving up 12.0ppg. That is a +19.3ppg for the Rams. And a +12.0ppg of Fairview. Fairview hasn't played the schedule that Raceland has played so far. Fairviews opp. rec is 8-31. But if Fairview comes out like everyone knows they will and the Rams are flat. It could be a long game. This being homecoming you just don't know what these kids will have on there minds. All said I think we can and will win this game. It will be a game that both teams score in the lower 20's

Ram has really put things as plain as they can get. Fairview WILL come into Ram Stadium confident and EXPECTING TO WIN! I personally can't see why they would feel any other way, after all the Eagles have kept thier focus, worked hard towards ONE goal...........to advance/win this district and TO BEAT RACELAND!

Rams, it all is there in front of you. What do you have inside? That answer only you can come up with. Go into Lexington with the possibility of playing for a district championship or Lose To Fairview at Ram Stadium and take a back seat into the playoffs. Which is it going to be?

No more room for error, losing concentration/focus and/or not playing Raceland Football. No Excuses Rams, it is all on you and it is time to step it up or just get comfortable in the back seat!

Pick up that Lunch Box, go to work and get it done. This week will tell what you want and how bad you want it.

Start seeing RED!!!

This isn't a big game. It is a HUGE game. It's the matchup of the year for both teams because it will determine how difficult the playoff road will be for each team. Barring (no pun intended) an incredible upset of LCA by either team, the winner of this game will get a home game probably against Berea while the loser gets to travel to either Campbellsville or Williamsburg. Prior to the season, I would have picked Raceland, but Fairview has played very well while Raceland hasn't been as good as expected. This leaves me not knowing who to pick! I do predict it will be a very, very good game to watch, though.

Hey Rams.....I just checked the early poll numbers on this game, the poll right now has FAIRVIEW 7 , Raceland 5. I guess that sounds about right for an early number, probably will go much higher in favor of Fairview (and probably should). Take a look and think about it Rams, you are being picked against in your house!!

Are you seeing RED yet???

I will have to go with the underdog Rams. Good luck:thumb:

Rams, throw away your press clippings, records, who's scored how much on who and who's beat who. This one will come down to who's more mentally focused. And who just wants this WIN! This is for a secured number 2 seed in the district! I don't know the exact stats but I would say Raceland hasn't fell below second seed since 2004. This is a rivalry game, you have already lost bragging rights to Greenup and Ashland. Are you going to give them up against the boys from the mossy bottom too? Come out hard play hard and play TICKED off! This game means something to alot of people including me! Anyone who knows me knows I HATE losing to Fairview! Put in the work this week get better, and have fun! If some makes a sack pick him up and beat his head in with emmotion!

If you're a Raceland football player and you can't get motivated for Fairview, check your pulse, because you may be dead.

I'm picking the Rams in this one. I'm not sure they are the underdog, but if so - I see an upset.

:thumb::thumb: Anyone that can't get up for Fairview just forget about your pulse and check in you equipment!!

Rams.....Not one or two, I am calling all of you out! What do you want this team to be remembered for? One that fought off several early season distractions and injuries to make a good season out of it along with another run for a district championship............ or one that watched Fairview Dancing on the "R" in the middle of your home field in front of you, your teammates, coaches, alumni and fans?

As I had said before, I have already heard alot of the Fairview faithful talk about how they will come in your house, take a lead over you in the district along with a 1st round home playoff game.

There is alot on the line this week, no more time for excuses. Pick up that Lunch Box and work this week like you never have.

I can promise you that Fairview will come in prepared and fired up, the Eagles EXPECT to beat you.

Fairview 28 Raceland 14 Sorry Rams I don't think you can see Red Enough, you have a tough game ahead, The Eagles won't back down and will take it! unless you get Real hungry and i don't think you are! Have a safe game and may the BEST!!! Team Win.

I have to go with the Eagles in this one. The only thing that makes me second guess this is Barr being full-go. We will see.

Barr is full go. We have no injuries as of this post and we have no illnesses, except for me :jump:. I am home with a 101.2 temperature and feel like something stuffed under a bus seat prior to the trip back from Paris Friday night.:D

There is a lot of tension and pride on the line for this one. I guess we'll see what we are made of.
