  1. So, just because McCreary moved the ball on them a little it means Bell didn't play very good. I mean people on here hammer me if I say McCreay didn't play very well in a game by saying it's all because of how the other team played. Come on, the fact of the matter is that we have a much improved offense so for once in four years we had some offensive yards against Bell Co. That doesn't mean Bell Co doesn't have a great team still it just shows that McCreary has made some improvements over the last 4 years. Does it hurt that much to give others credit when credit is due? If it makes you feel better to say that Bell played a crappy game and still beat McCreary 63-0 then by all means have at it. I mean I could easily say that McCreary played their worse game of the year tonight , if they would have caught those 2 passes and scored the 5 times they got inside the 30 the score would have been??????????????? But somehow that would seem to me just plain stupid and wouldn't make me feel any better about the game or how our kids played. I was at the game with a birdseye view and I can tell you for a 100% certainty that Bell Co is the best team we have played this year and even though I haven't seen everyone in 4-A play they are my favorites for a repeat of the championship (I will be pulling for them all the way) and that I have never seen a McCreary Co team play Bell without giving up after Bell scored 2 or 3 times until this game. Our boys played hard the entire time and gave it their all every play, they never once dropped their heads or gave up! I don't and will not accept a statement that Bell Co didn't play well and if in fact they didn't beat us to your expectations then I say to you that it was our play that caused it not the fact that Bell didn't play well! Again, I wish Bell all the luck in the world the rest of the way and will be pulling for you guys and when you make it to the semi's I will be there to watch you play. Until then GO RAIDERS!
  2. Game was 28-0 after 1st quarter 35-0 at half and after Bell scored their 1st TD of the 2nd half(to make it 41-0) with around 5 min to play McCreary put in jv offense and Bell did the same at that point with their defense. Bells jv scored 4 TD's 2 on offense and 2 via interceptions with bell's jv outscoring MC's 22-0 for the final 63-0. To toot McCreary's horn a bit, we had somewhere around 180 yards of offense in the 1st half(more than we had against Bell in the last 3 years combined) with the ball inside the 30 5 times and inside the 10 twice but to Bells credit we could not get it into the endzone. One dropped ball in the endzone and once a receiver by himself in the endzone fell down so we had our chances to score but a good Bell defense held us off. Our defense played better tonight than it has in a few weeks but Bell Co has a machine as an offense. We were proud that are kids played hard and never layed down. Congradulation to Bell Co and good luck the rest of the year. It was good to see old friends again!
  3. Well, it is gameday!:dancingpa I can't wait until 7:30 because I love high school football. Have a safe trip Bell Co see ya in a bit!:thumb:
  4. Hey, any Bell fans out there? I am getting lonely with no one to tell me how bad we will lose tomorrow night!:notworthy: It helps me sleep when I can read all the posts on here about how the Bell jv can handle McCreary's varsity!:notworthy: Hey guys, just fooling around but I do miss the stimulating conversations on this thread from you Bell fans even if it is to talk about how crumby the weather will be again this Friday. I don't think I have ever seen a Bell thread go this long without anyone posting something. Man you guys must be really board with the McCreary week, I think this hurts my feeling way more than the "we will kick your but with our pee wee team stuff! You know what would really blow? If you guys drove all the way over here tomorrow and we had thunder storms and the game was called for lightning and you had to drive all the way back over here on Saturday! Just a thought!
  5. I am pulling for you and your Rockets papagrit, if they play with good intensity from start to finish I think the Rockets will come out on top! Good luck!:thumb:
  6. The scary part is they only have 6 seniors and they will be returning 17 juniors who will be seniors in 2010!:scared:
  7. I agree with you papagrit, I have been treated real good when traveling to Bell just like when I go to Rock. I have all the respect in the world for both programs, players, coaches and fans! I to will be voting for Bell! I just through the last part in there to try and spark some dialog! Pepper II I thought we were voting for who we thought would win, not who we wanted to win. I think it goes both ways on here and that was kind of my point!
  8. I totally agree 100% and also agree that it is the coaching staffs job to protect his team and program in this way when necessary! I also tip my hats to this coaching staff for making the right decision for their team and program. The reason I wanted to say this is because we did the same thing several years ago to revitalize are program and got crusified on here when we started winning games. We have tried to slowly beef up our schedule slowly so our program can keep going as we build and even though we are playing the toughest schedule in the history of the program we still get crusified on here from some about how are schedule is weak. Our coaching staff was talking about this today and said if we played this years schedule last year we would probably be 2-6 instead of 6-2 and if we played it the year before we could have been even worse off! So to the Lawrence Co coaches keep up the good work, adjust your schedule slowly as you keep building your program I am 100% behind your decision!
  9. One of Rocks coaches actually said their game plan was to focus on Roark and shut him down because they didn't think Watts could beat them by himself and that's exactly what they did! After they took Roark out of the equation by practicing for a week to stop him they then took the 1st quarter to figure what we would do with Watts and then make adjustments to stop him. I tip my hats to their coaching staff because they were smart enough to go about it in the opposite way than everone else and it paid off. Most people just worry about Watts and when they do Roark takes over the game! Good job, we never saw that one coming!
  10. That's cool:thumb: You know I have great respect for Bell and appreciate their fans and have even grown to love several of them! Oh yeah, another thing since this was asked I have a question. If there are so many people out there that dis-like Bell or atleast their fans why don't more of them vote for their opponents to win? Maybe there is something to the Bell Co's jealousy theory!
  11. Hey look................McCreary is in the # 2 spot with Bell!:D:D:D
  12. Thanks for the love southeast_bell!:jump:
  13. Don't be talking about my sister like that!:madman:
  14. If Bell was playing the # 1 team in the country you would vote for them to win. I know you would never vote against them and that is called supporting your team. Now, you may not think (deep inside) that they are going to win or you may think that their chances of winning is very slim but you will still vote for them because you believe in them and also you know that good teams beat great teams every week and great teams beat even greater teams every week and the greatest teams still lose every once in awhile. Well, that is exactly why I voted for my Raiders! I will see all my Bell Co. friends Friday night and I can't wait. Have a safe trip!
  15. You got this one right DreamLand! You all know that I am a sensible person and I haven't got on here and made any outrageous predictiction but I have all the faith in the world im my guys and I wouldn't vote against them if they were playing............lets say Alcoa!
  16. I disagree with this, they were not more physical. However, I can agree with them being as physical! It was a great game to watch as both teams really got after each other and as Daddy Cat said it wasn't really decided until the 4th quarter!
  17. This is outstanding news! Our prayers are with him for a speedy recovery!
  18. I would agree if you are counting turnover on downs and punts as turnovers! But there have been many games played where there were no fumble or interceptions and someone still won and there has been games where only one team fumbled or threw interceptions and that team won. I was just pointing out that your ordinary turnovers don't always decide the winner of a game!
  19. How is the young man from Rowan that got hurt? He has been on my mind all day! I pray that he is okay!
  20. I would agree with that as well, hard to make those long trips and then get your legs back under you!
  21. I thought this was an evenly played ball game with the 4 turnovers being the big difference. It was a fun game to watch congradulations Jackets and good luck next week to Lynn Camp! It was good to see my good friend Jody Disney and I guess I will see you again in a couple of weeks!
  22. I agree they are huge favorites over Mccreary but I disagree that they would be favored against Knox!JMO!
  23. The Rockets looked very good tonight, they played hard and was aggressive all night. The war in the trenches was domminated by the Rockets and my hats are off to them! Roark could not get in the groove tonight because Rocks D-line was so dominate between the tackles but he is an excellent back that didn't have much of a chance tonight. We also have a couple of good receivers (one of which was out sick tonight) and they came wide open several time with the passes being a little under thrown or not thrown at all and that hurt as well. I'm not going to play the if game it is what it is. The biggest difference tonight was Rocks "D" was much better than MC's "D" we scored a couple of times early but could not slow Rocks offense down (not even a little). It is no secret our defense needs to improve a great deal before we can ever compete in games against teams like Rock and Knox but all we can do is keep working hard because we have gotten better just not good enough quick enough! Monday starts a new week and we just have to keep on working. Congradulation to the Rockets and good luck the rest of the year! It was good to see you again papagrit!
  24. You are 100% incorrect!:puke:
