  1. A friend of mine who is a Lex. Cath faithful told me Whitley Co. wore them out for 3 quarters. They ran out of gas in the 4th so conditioning was their only weakness, I am sure Coach Black has corrected that problem. My friend also told me that this years whitley co. team was the quickest team he has ever seen and he has been watching cathlic football for 20 years so that is saying something. Remember, strength punishes but speed kills! I'll go with Whitley Cop by a TD!
  2. I predict that St. X wins this one in a close game! :sssh:
  3. 22 hours and 13 min. til game the next game starts. Man, I love high school football!
  4. St. Xavier Bombers @ St. Xavier Tigers, this will be a grat game and I predict that St. X wins in a close one! :jump:
  5. I wish Dom all the best in the world, he is a great talent and I love to watch him play (except when we play Bell) he should have a bright future at the next level.
  6. I don't know about everyone else but that has a nice ring to it and is IMO the most deservingly named field in the country.
  7. A lot of those who will not be in pads are 7 or 8 basketball players who have decided to play football and don't have enough practices in to play yet (is that correct?). I know #44 is out with the leg injury and it is my understanding that the QB #1 will be able to play in the 2nd half of Fridays game if the coach lets him. That is the only 2 impact players that I am aware of that is out for Fridays game please correct me if I am wrong. I am looking for an exciting and hard hitting game it should be a fun one. See you all on Friday!
  8. He got some playing time against Pineville and had a great game, 9 tackles. However, he had a minor injury and had to sit out of the Edmonson Co. game but should be back in action on Friday against Wayne Co. He is a freshman who plays like a Junior!
  9. This is no surprise to me!
  10. 5 St. Xavier 3 Pineville 3 Pulaski County 1 Holmes 1 Covington Catholic 1 Whitley County 1 Russell 1 East Carter 1 Dixie Heights 1 Fleming County Tie-breaker 62
  11. Prayer from Raiderland out of McCreary County!
  12. I have no doubts that you are right LMB like I have said earlier I have all the respect in the world for Coach Hilton, his staff and the Bell Co. program!
  13. Someone said on here earlier that he had transfered to Pineville. Was that true or did he now transfer from Pineville back to Bell? If that is the case I would say someone went and talked to him and we all know this young man is a stud running back and makes Bell a much more dominate team. But like I said, putting all of that aside I hope this young man keeps himself straight because he could have a bright future at the next level.
  14. Pineville were a lot more physical a stronger than they were last year. You could really tell they have worked hard in the off season. Pineville is picked to finish 3rd in their district but I will say they will make a legitimate run for the top spot. With fairness to Berea, they are 2-0 and I haven't seen them play so I can't say who I think is the better team but I will say Berea better come to play and after seeing Pineville last week my prediction is that they will win the game but I won't predict a score!
  15. McCreary has a freshman playing linebacker (and sometime DE) that is 6-5 and weights 235 and he hits like a truck. He would get PT on most if not all 4-A teams and I would have to guess most 5-A teams. I grew up in Ohio where freshmen didn't play varsity ever and still there were a freshmen or two that started from time to time. There are always exceptions and exceptional (freshmen) athletes. IMHO!
  16. After seeing Pineville in person I am curious what people think about this match-up!
  17. Sounds like Bell figured they would need him to win the big games like JC, Whitley Co and on into the playoffs. I hope they don't give up their high player standards because they are affraid they can't win some of the big games without a certain player. I have seen teams do this and it usually hurts more than it helps. What ever the case, I wish this young man well. I also want to say I only mention this because I have a lot of respect for Coach Hilton and the Bell Co football program!
  18. He definately makes a difference as all great athletes do for their respective teams but our line play was better and our defense was better and this is due to the fact we worked hard in the weight room, spring practice and in the summer. It was not just one thing but a combination of having everyone healthy, stronger, quicker and ready to play. We need to keep getting better every week!
  19. Sorry, mistake on Watts stats: he had 2 rushing TD's.
  20. McCreary seems to never get on the list, how about McCreary vs Wayne Co.
  21. 5 Scott County 3 Paducah Tilghman 3 George Rogers Clark 1 Ludlow 1 St. Xavier 1 Madison Central 1 Breathitt County 1 Meade County 1 Hopkins County Central 1 Garrard County Tiebreaker #1 48
