Not sure how good Pineville is this year, but they went to Stearns and beat McCreary 47-18 last year. This is a nice way to start for the Raiders, going on the road and beating Pineville.

Definitely a game McCreary should have won easily, so nice to see them take care of business. I think Pineville is expected to challenge Harlan for second in their district behind Hazard.

Watts had 174 yards on 15 carries 3 TD's he also threw for about 100 yards and 1 TD (the TD reception was made by Dustin Stephens about a 50 yarder)

He definately makes a difference as all great athletes do for their respective teams but our line play was better and our defense was better and this is due to the fact we worked hard in the weight room, spring practice and in the summer. It was not just one thing but a combination of having everyone healthy, stronger, quicker and ready to play. We need to keep getting better every week!

Watts is one of the best players in the state, but games like Bell and Rock are true test games for kids like Watts. Good Luck to MC this season. Pineville has made some big strides, they are a pretty solid team, they only have a few players but the few they have starting varsity are good sized and skilled. They will have a good year this season. That is a good win for McCreary Central, even if it is a 1A school.
