For some reason I thought Jonhson Central stadium was bigger in terms of seating. Something like 10-thousand seater. I guess the guy who told me that was wrong. Never been. Looking forward to it. Hoping for a CCH win. -
Hadn't heard that. What happened?

Petty...you can't throw THAT out there and not give more specifics. Throw down more details and names or you are just stirring the pot with nothing to back it up. How/why would ANOTHER NKY coach hand over tape on CCH? And who did it? :fire: -

When Covington Catholic and Beechwood play the house is always rockin. There are many Colonel-Tiger connections that make it a good rivalry. Didn't the Beechwood Head Coach go to CCH?:argue: -

Well said. Classroom first. Sports second. Not only is the class of 2012 talented on the field but they are loaded up with some very bright young men. "seniors in training" That is right on -
I'll get on board with this, for sure. Congrats, AJ! You deserve it! AJ is a great kid who comes from a great family. He works hard and it's nice to see him have things go his way!

Advice for (the Covington Catholic) coaches....
Football Die Hard replied to Big Easy's topic in KY Football (High School)
Let it go people. Sounds like too much in-fighting. Sounds like from these posts that everyone knows who 'everyone' is. You all need to take your spat off BGP....theoldguy included. I think the Guru would agree. This tit for tat has gone ugly and over the edge. Let's talk real football issues and not individual agendas and attacks:ylsuper: -

hja1224...IMO your post is out of line. You are showing your hypocritic side. You say "this" is why you are not sending you kid to CCH.. yet you take up time on this thread to bash the school and point out that you know plenty of "not so successful" people who attended the school? What is that? IMO you are doing exactly what you are condemning others for doing! -
Advice for (the Covington Catholic) coaches....
Football Die Hard replied to Big Easy's topic in KY Football (High School)
That is hilarious! Let the coaches run the program. I think most people know when negativity is being spewed out of the bitter barn mouths. I do believe that 'sometimes' coaches play favorites.. but for the most part the kid who can get the job done is the one on the field. My advice to original poster: Stay OUT of the gossip stew. Keep your head down. Avoid the negativity. Most level-headed people/players/parents know who supports a program and who doesn't. Gravitate toward the people you absolutely know are on your side. The outsiders will eventually join in or they will stay there....on the outside! -

IMO The freshman team at cov Cath is very talented. They have like 40 players on the roster but WAY too many are playing both ways. By the 4th they are too beat to pull out the win. In the three losses for the frosh..the strategy was to have 6 or 7 players play both ways and they lost the game in the last minutes in the 4th. The games won...there were more players used and the victories came. What is going there? Are the coaches only playing favorites? If that is the case..that is wrong. And worse, half of the 40 won't come back because they are being neglected or they go in for a play and are yanked out. The Frosh Colonels are .500 now. What should happen? Give those on the sidelines an opportuntity and maybe someone gets a surprise.
