  1.  It was weird growing up, because the taller I got the more I noticed I was becoming inches away from my arms getting ripped off through the tunnel if I raised my hands. I duck as well now, because I swear if I don't my head would slam the wall. I'm not even that tall, but still!
  2. A rim rocker always gets me out of my seat so I understand completely. Bass had an awesome tip slam against the Heat that got me pumped. I love when the ball goes through so hard it flies up into the stands after it hits the ground. And yes, Shaq was the definition of power. Raw, filthy POWER.
  3. I must admit, I didn't want to put Shaq because I'm a little fuzzy on remembering him in his prime. He was ferocious around the rim, no question. Dwight is a much more athletic dunker as opposed to Shaq's punisher style. I'd say the two are comparable and more a matter of preference. I will never say that Howard was a better dunker than Shaq, as I will never say Shaq was a better dunker than Dwight. I revise my claim to a tie between the two.
  4. Really?? Dolamite is the ONLY person to mention Vinsanity?? Come on guys... I don't think there's ever been a better dunker at ANY position. PG: Derrick Rose SG: Vince Carter SF: LeBron James PF: Blake Griffin C: Dwight Howard Yes, I realize I didn't post any older players. That's because 1) I'm only 22 and never got to really witness the Dr. J's and Dominique's of the world, and 2) dunking has truly evolved in the past 15-20 years or so.
  5. Agreed... However, I will always be a Rondo fan unless he goes all Metta World Peace on a fan or something. I'll just choose to ignore these minor issues by putting on my blue-tinted shades.
  6. I love what he said. Speak the TRUTH my brother!!!
  7. All I know is that when I walk by Davis on campus, he might as well be 7'5". Makes all 6'1" of me feel like a midget.
  8. The LeBron James I saw last night is the one whose game I fell in love with in Cleveland. When he decides to just absolutely take over a game, I'm not sure I've ever seen anything like it. I understand why people get so frustrated with him. All we want as fans is to see him take over on a nightly basis because we know he is capable, and it is damn fun to watch. Congrats to the Miami Fighting LBJ's last night. I'm looking forward to an AWESOME game 7 that I fully expect the Heat to win. It's really fun watching a series and being fine with whichever team wins. Even though I'm way more of a Celtics fan than a Heat fan, I do want to see LeBron get his championship. Although, I'll have a hard time rooting against the Thunder in the Finals because I love KD's game also. The two best players in the world playing against each other in a 7 game series for everything? Talk about fun... On another note, here's an article about James' performance last night. Pretty good read.
  9. I'm going to Ashland this weekend and plan on playing some with a few of my buddies. Anyone have any course recommendations for the area?
  10. "Not one... Not two... Not three..." etc. I wonder if that was the Heat's way of saying they'd win zero championships. Someone tweeted something like this that I follow. It made me laugh.
  11. This may sound a little crazy, but I would really consider trading Wade for Rondo. I think it's a deal the Celtics would take and I could see Rondo's game working out very well with LeBron's. The Heat may even be able to get another role player out of the deal or something.
  12. If there were ever a team I could see Phil coming back to coach, it's a team with LeBron on it. Why not coach MJ, Kobe, and LeBron?
  13. Boston has looked like a completely rejuventated team lately. That Pierce shot in LBJ's face was cold... Flat out cold.
  14. I don't see this team ever truly coming together. Yes, the amount of talent is UNREAL. It isn't an intelligently designed team though. The pieces don't all fit together. Breaking up the Superfriends (that one's for you PP ) would probably be the best thing for the Heat. I also think they could get a better coach then Spoelstra. Which coach would you replace him with? I'm also curious as to what moves you think the Heat should make if they were to break up the team.
  15. Public opinion more often than not dictates what is and isn't appropriate in these types of things. Based on my experience, I'd have to say yes. One is ok and the other isn't. Somehow, our society has evolved to be somewhat accepting of one while the other is completely despicable. That doesn't speak for every person, just represents the general view of the whole. As far as a logical reasoning behind why that standard exists, I can't provide that. It doesn't exist.
  16. I've heard the word used a lot, and I can't think of a single time "ger" was used in a non-malicious manner.
  17. I loved when the third horn sounded. They could have just ended it right there and it would've been great I think. That was a great ending to the season. Do you all think I should read the books now? Does it ruin much of the suspense? I really don't want to wait 9 months to see what happens next.
  18. Most of the places I've been to have a policy requiring ID if the buyer looks under age 35 or 40 or something like that.
  19. Please let MKG fall to the Wiz... I think he could thrive on that team. Talk about some fast breaks... Wall and MKG? Are you kidding me??
  20. Happy Birthday FKYW! Like I said in HT's thread, I'll be celebrating for you.
  21. Wow... That game was awesome to watch. Rondo... Rondo.... RONDO. Like MJ, if you would have told me before the game that Rondo would play like that, I would have bet my life savings that the Celtics walk away with a victory. He was an absolute man last night. He did get hosed on that non-call, which may or may not have been the difference in the game. No telling how it would've gone down from that point though. Congrats to the Heat for keeping it together. Going to be tough for the Celtics to come back now.
  22. Never has a show played on my emotions quite like Breaking Bad. I'm halfway through Season 3 right now and things keep getting crazier. As far as Dexter, I do agree that the seasons have started to fall off a bit. I still watch every new episode though, mainly because I love the character of Dexter. There have been a few seasons that I cling on to in hopes that they get back on track. The premise of the show is incredible.
  23. I have a wide range of interests. They really are all great shows. I just picked up on Breaking Bad and I'm beyond addicted.
  24. And.... I'm sad.... The ONE team I didn't want him going to...
