  1. I finally look for a good game tonight, I think the match up might be close to even. I guess we will all find out together. Cooper's D has been working hard this week. The Cooper QB is very good, he just needs more time to throw the ball (Don't they all!)
  2. The #2 Suthoff is a great player and he will give 150%, but he will be shut down. I still say #1 Bradley will play and he will also be shut down. The coach needs to open his eyes. He has a lot of talent but he just won't use it properly. SK 45 C 0 at the half.
  3. #1, Bradley will be ready for Friday night.... guaranteed!
  4. Ryle is a very talented team.... Turnovers killed Cooper. 4 key fumbles in 2 games, not to mention the INTs.
  5. I would love to see a good game.... but this will be over by half time. Warner will do the right thing and not run up a big score. Ryle 47 Cooper 14
  6. My son plays D, so not really the case. I see your veteran status and yield to your knowledge. I don't like the play calling all around ( O and D ). We all have opinions and I respect yours. I just see a number of kids busting their butts and I wish they got more playing time. I'd love to see more passing plays too. They have a lot of good WR's on the team too.
  7. Love the Game / Under the lights.,..... opinions respected very much. As you can read, you both commented differently on the BC 1 back scheme. Agree to disagree. I didn't continue on the fumble comments because Im not here to bash #1. Thats not what this is about. They are a better team, by leaps and bound. I am very proud of the boys and will be there every week cheering, win or loose. The coaching blew that game! Anyone who was there and knows football could see that. Lloyd adjusted at halftime (as good coaches and teams do) and this made a huge impact in the 2nd half. CB's playing 10+ yards off the ball... LB's not spread to cover the flats.I know the boys are playing where they are told to play. I saw one kid try to adjust on his own and he was yelled at. Last year was a learning experience, this year there is no excuse to make that many bad play calls and Def. play calls. Anyway... lets see what next week at Ryle brings... I pray for a win, I hope for a good game, I suspect a bad beating. Good luck JAGS!!!!
  8. Maybe I didn't make it clear enough, Bradley is the #1 back... no doubt. I do however think running him constantly is stupid. He is what ALL teams are and will focus on. I know of 2 other backs on the team that can run very well (#14 & #28). They need to mix it up. Why did they come out with a 2 back split on the first series and the abandon it??? Copper has come a very long way from last year, but they did it as a TEAM... not as a 1 man show.
  9. Congrats to the Lloyd team and especially to their coaches. The Juggs held in and pulled out a very nice win. The fact is that Cooper got out coached! No reason in the world they should have lost that game after being up so much. Coach B. BLEW IT big time. Bradley is one heck of a runner, but he can not hold on to the ball. This has always been his problem. Cooper is going to get STOMPED by the 6A teams. The biggest reason they will get beat so bad is because Borchers only focuses on #1, he has a talented crew but he just won't use them. WAKE UP RANDY!!!!!!
  10. Good point CooperPride.... A loss is a loss... no sour grapes here. Cooper had plenty of shots to win this game and they didn't do it. They seem to be like sleeping giants in the 1st half. IMO they need to work in more players, defense's will key on #1 all night long. The officials did blow a few calls and thats a shame. Lets hope they get better. The fumble you spoke of was a fluke, it bounced right back up in the Holmes RB's hands and he was able to keep running like nothing ever happened. Cooper did block a punt and a quick thinking Jaguar caught the ball and made a huge play. Good luck to both teams in the weeks to come!
  11. I have to pick Cooper with my heart, but my head tells me "not so fast". I will be there and I hope to see a good game.
  12. Im not bashing the kid at all.... he is VERY talented....There was no JV game this week.
  13. Centers played last night to keep him at Cooper. He is a very talented young man, but bringing him up was purely a strategic move.
  14. Scott owned that game... PERIOD! I thought Cooper would manhandle them and I was dead wrong. #25 & #47(i think) played amazing for Scott, Its a shame they had to lose. Coach Borchers better figure out quick that he just can't hand the ball off to #1 and win the game. He has plenty of talent along side #1 and needs to use it. On the flip side, a win is a win and I give Cooper credit for not folding when the chips were down. This was the best $5.00 I have spent in a long time. Great game.
  15. Cooper will dominate this game.... They have way too much talent and now they have the first year jitters behind them. The final 6 games will be tough and I do expect some, if not all losses to the big boys. That being said, don't be all that surprised if they beat 1 of the big 3 (Ryle, Conner, B.C.) Cooper 35 Scott 14
  16. Cooper is still very young. They have come a very long way since last year. I know nothing about Shawnee, they may indeed be a very good team, but don't expect Cooper to get "Shell Shocked" anymore as they did many times last year. Lets hope for a good and safe game for both teams.
  17. Romero is one of 5 seniors on the team, Very lopsided beginning but WV made a great run in the 2nd half.
  18. Cooper Freshman have won 1 games so far. They are a talented, strong group and will add much needed depth to Varsity/JV next year.
  19. Cooper is a 6A program, at least make sure your derogatory comment is factual.
