Injured player broke both bones in his leg, out for the year. Our thoughts and prayers go out to this young man.

Very good game for Cooper, team starting to gel. It was 21 to 7 going into the 4th and GC came back with a quick strike. Cooper sealed the game with a late interception and took a knee to end the game.

Boone has a very good team, no doubt. The Cooper Varsity (Sophomores) could not keep up with them. I am a Cooper fan as you can see by my name but seeing Boone hurry to score a last second touchdown.... Cheap!

The rebar and the sprinkler head were 2 different issues. And yes a coach can hold up a game. The field was walked before the game and cleared by the refs. It is well into this weeks game and I wont live in the past. Ryle has a very good program and I hope they do well this year. Cooper will learn fast and I look for them to do very well next year as long as they keep their spirits up.

The field was not ready, the construction company really dropped the ball on this project. They had PLENTY of time to finish this project and just didn't do it. The "pipe" in question was a sprinkler head sticking up too high and was quickly fixed. The refs did not hold the game up, Ryle H.C. held the game up, refusing to take the field. Ryle however does deserve a BIG round of applause for not running the score up. This is what good sportsmanship is all about, they had the game well in hand and did not go in for the "over" KILL as Conner did the week before.

Thank You Woody... The rest of you need to sit back and admire the hard work of these brave and courageous young men. They lay their hearts on the line every day to fight an up hill battle. Don't write them off so easily. This year will be rough, but the tide will turn very quickly in their favor. Hard work is always rewarded.
