As expected.... four scoring drives in the 2nd quarter under 50 yards due to three turnovers. Wouldn't have mattered though, Ryle just much better.

I heard Bradley looked good.

Bradley was good for one quarter, 102 yards and a score. Ryle put 10 in the box and then dropped some back on the snap and Cooper only ran Bradley 9-10 times the rest of the game for only about 10 yards so Ryle disguised their defense and did well. Cooper doesn't catch the ball consistently enough to be a threat thru the air.

There is no question he is a very talented back. There is also no question that his gaudy rushing numbers could only be attained by playing some very weak competition. It is one thing to announce to teams like Shawnee, Scott, and Lloyd that you are going to rush the ball on almost every down and don't have a passing game and get away with it. It is an entirely different thing when Cooper faces their district schedule without any passing threat whatsoever. And they have NO passing threat at all. None.

Bradley went out earrly in the third qtr. according to the paper with any iinjury. So his stats look pretty good for a half of a game especially against a bigger school like Ryle.

Ryle is a very talented team.... Turnovers killed Cooper. 4 key fumbles in 2 games, not to mention the INTs.

According to the paper he had 112 on 19 carries. He had two runs of 35 and 45 yards on their scoring drive...hmm. So after those two runs he had 17 carries for 32 yards. Bradley is big and physical, it's a shame he will not get recognized in 6A football.

Don't give up on him already. He is only a junior, and as far as i'm concerned, 112 yards rushing is good on any night, just got to work on the fumbles.

His rushing numbers are where they are because of his running style. Don't take away from good efforts because of the schedules they are playing. If that's the case Ryle's backs should have had some gaudy numbers against Cooper. If he ran for over 100 yards in the first half, what does that say for Ryle's defense? Had he not been injured early in the 3rd quarter, I am sure he could have added more to that number because he is a no quit kind of kid. I am proud of Cooper for hanging in there for the time they did. Each year is going to get better and better for them and they will win some district games in the near future. Bradley leads all Northern Kentucky backs (including the Ryle Group) in yards as of today, and it's a well deserved accomplishment by him and the offensive line regardless of who they are playing. Cooper doesn't have the complete talent, size, speed, and experience as the other 6A teams, which is why what they have done so far is legitimately a great job.

Kids ignore the nay-sayers and continue to do a great job!:thumb:

I've been very complimentary of him and Cooper and my statement was hardly a slam at him or his efforts, but a simple statement of fact that he leads NKY in rushing to date because of the schedule they have played. Don't read more into it than what was intended.

And Ryle's backs did have some pretty impressive numbers in this game - 200 yards rushing and 5 TD's in 3 quarters is fairly solid work. Plus, Ryle doesn't have a rush-only offensive attack and also had some nice passing stats.

If he ran for over 100 yards in the first half, what does that say for Ryle's defense?

Maybe he is the first good back they've seen this year..:D

I don't think so.

Bigger school like Ryle?

Now if you are meaning that Cooper is so much bigger than Lloyd, Louisville Shawnee and Scott, the teams you beat, then go at it, but you are a 6A school so don't cry when another 6A school beats you!

If anyone thinks that Cooper is on the same level as any of the Northern Ky 6A schools, then they must not understand the student body that Cooper started with for their first year. They didn't have the luxury of a private school to be able to allow certain student athletes to enroll regardless of location. So, football talent wise, I believe the Varsity team is on the same level as some of the schools that the Old guy mentioned. Just because you receive a 6A title, doesn't mean your going to be able to field a 6A caliper team to begin with immediately.
