  1. What's their schedule going to be?
  2. I Think you guys need to start a new thread. This is about "The Good Of Football". Not "They took prayer out of our schools" thread. Sorry,I just had to stay that I was enjoying some of your guys posts, then this started.
  3. http://www.bluegrasspreps.com/showthread.php?t=171200&page=2 Go to this thread.
  4. Many people don't understand the principles of that defense and underestimate Polson's value. He will be missed more than most know.
  5. Burgan saw significant action at FB last season. So did Jeremiah Eldridge. I think Jamille Stewart could maybe play there also.
  6. Clark started last season at SS every game until the M'boro game. After a shoulder injury, Dylon Smith played that spot. Burgan started the first two games at OLB before he had a broken hand. That injury sidelined him for sometime. It was hard for him to unseat Maggard at that spot once he came back but he did start the playoff game at Breathitt in that spot. Roberts and Blake Polson will both be very hard to replace on D.
  7. The kids say many others are working hard and have hopes of starting so who knows in the end.
  8. He's been coming. Why wouldn't he be? OL returning- Jamie Ball, Austin Short, George Shoemaker 8 games started then injured, Alex Haywood 4 games started. Bryan Owens 2 games started.
  9. I will get a better picture pretty soon.it was'nt finish at that time.
  10. I am pretty sure the HC d coach and all defensive coaches on every team in the world for that matter have someone assigned to play the RB in the flats. Does that mean that the responsible party played him? Maybe not, but it is absurd to think that there was no one assigned to the best player on the field. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink. Maybe when you get off work, you can go over and give them some advice on stopping Fugate. They will be there until @ 7:00.
  11. There was no one wide open 15 yards down field. There was an OLB right there on the curl where he was supposed to be waiting and baiting the throw on the play Cobb was talking about. He is insane sometimes. HC also had two punts basically blocked, a blown coverge. This game is one I am sure coaches would love to play again.
  12. Harlan County's Nathaniel Gilliam rushed for 426 yards 7 Tds against Middlesboro.
  13. Facts???? The defense (which one of your nephews plays on) is garbage?? Is that a fact? That is what you said the other night in the update thread. Rockcastle County had gone to two state finals games and won numerous other titles running the exact same scheme. When the players commit to actually running the scheme and not getting on their own page, it will work. They have to trust it. It is comments like the one that you made that filters down to players and makes them believe that there is a better way to play than what they are being taught. That makes them break rank and costs a defense no matter what the scheme. When you played at Cawood they ran a 5-3, cover three most of the time. What if the safety had decided to run to the box on play action because someone had been telling him to give run support? The middle of the field would have been wide open. That is how kids work. Dad tells the QB that he's not moving in the pocket enough, then on Friday night he starts scrambling when there is no need and creates a sack for the defense. Cousin Joe tells the d-line that chopping is stupid or garbage and he doesn't do his job, he stands up and gets blown off the ball. All that stuff does is undermine coaches. If you want to be the defensive coach of a high school football team, get in college, get your degree in education and apply for a job.
