I watched this team play about eighteen times this year and I can't figure out what you are getting at. What do you mean by playing favorites? At first I thought you were implying that Aaron Hicks and Coach Hicks were related, but I do not think that is what you were claiming. Now I think you're saying that Tyler Carr has too much freedom, but that also makes no sense. Be specific please. What favoritism exists in this program? Don't wimp out, please be specific.

Or become one of those parents that complains about the coach and then apply for the job when he leaves. Maybe you'll get hired.

I just think that is incorrect. To me its like you're saying that if I choose to dye my hair from red to blonde and you choose to keep your hair the natural red, then you chose to have natural red hair. I am a redhead, its what I am. Until I chose to become a blonde. I can reverse that decision if I wish (although its a lot easier than choosing to go back to heterosexuality). I may think that I truly was a blonde born into a redhead's body. But I still chose to become blonde.

Not true at all. Heterosexuality is natural. Homosexuality is unnatural, in my opinion. I see just as much anger from the pro-gay (not meant to be derogatory) crowd when they clash with the conservative crowd as I do the other way around. Both groups get too angry with each other. Mistakes are made on both sides.

My last post was meant to defend you Maniac. Not that you needed it. I was just saying that your talent level was down the last few years you were at Grant. You did wel when you were at Grant. But what is wrong with people thinking that this year's team was better than any of yours? What's wrong with people thinking that your 2003 team was better than any of Coach Eads (sp?) teams. What's wrong with thinking that Carr is a better all around player than Jones or that Jones was a better player than Schaefer? Not everything is an insult. I was not aware that a Hick Vs. Kinmon comparison was a hotly contested discussion. A lot of ruffld feathers on here for some reason.

And whether they realize or not, they want their kids to go to WVHS. If they need a little help in order to understand it we will meet them more than half way.

Whenever a coach leaves a job after fourteen years and a new coach arrives, there is alway going to be a comparison. Usually it is the new coach who feels the pressure. I didn't know there was a controversy regarding Coach Hicks and Coach Kinmon. They are not at all similiar in their style of coaching. Remember that from about 2004 to 2008 the talent that coach Kinmon had was not necessarily stellar. He did not have players named Carr, Hunt, Johnson, or Xavier Thomas. He had players named Binion, Cain, Soden, or Webster. Sorry if naming names bothers some people.

Folks, I said maybe, might, and probably. I also said you could come up with two players that might be better than Carr. I've spoken to some people in the county and some people think Carr is better than Jones. And some think Jones was better than Carr. And some think Shaeffer was better than all of them. I never said "obviously" or "definitely." This team might be the best.

This year's team was probably the best team in the last twenty years or so. Tyler Carr might be the best player in GCHS History (may be a stretch but I said "might"). I'd have a hard time thinking of more than maybe two players that can possible be considered better. Maybe Allen Schaeffer. Regardless to what Coach Hicks inherited his team has gotten better each of the three seasons he's been there.

I think it is. If I felt it wasn't a choice then I would not consider it a sin. It all comes down to how you view the Bible. If you believe that the Bible is God's word then you probably believe homosexuality is a choice and a sin. If you believe the Bible is a flawed cultural book than you do not believe it is a choice or a sin. No one argues what the Bible says about homosexuality. The arguement is more about whether or not the Bible is correct.

I think this is the 4th straight district championship. Am I right?

I'd rather lose by thirty than not be there. With a good draw GC could win a game in the regional tournament. Several teams don't have practice tomorrow but the LAdy Braves do.

Just saying that you can't critique others for using a pseudonym when you yourself use one. You seem upset for some reason. I would think you would be happy that your team played well against SK and were in position to win the game. And by "your team" I am referring to Walton

Did highland's girls also draw NCC in the first round of districts?

Can you concisely explain this again?

Since NCC is a bigger gym, would they lose money by never playing a home game in their own venue? Part of me remembers about six years ago that Brossart tried to book CCMS for this game every year but NCC did not like that idea and shot it down.
