  1. Despite all of the so-called candidated for this position, I do not think they are even close to making a decision. But I really don't cinsider that a big deal either, they may be focused on state testing or other school issues. If they hire someone in the middle of MAy, it really doesn't devestate the program. Is there really a difference between hiring someone on April 15th or May 15th (Beside thirty days)?
  2. Can't get mad at the church for not changing with the times on this issue.
  3. But it does. It impacts the community, the other players, the school, and the coaches. When Maddox took his kids to Gallatin, it impacted GCHS, the basketball program, and some people in the community. When parents transferred their sons to W-Town, did that not impact you? I am saying "you" because previously you claimed to be the former Grant Coch, not to try to "out" you.
  4. What if what they think is best for their children is wrong? I think they want to move their kids for selfish reasons and not because they think it is best for there kids.
  5. Leaving a good basketball program to come to a program that is struggling and is in a tough district? Also leaving Ohio teacher pay for kentucky teacher pay and essentially wasting what ever was paid into the ohio reitrement system. Seems like a no brainer to me.
  6. Played at Meadowood yesterday. It acually looks pretty nice. Was even par through the first four holes, then the rains came.
  7. Newport has posted a special ed vacancy?
  8. They don't seem to have many teaching openings open.
  9. Place in Latonia called "Lynna's." Great Goetta!! Good Coffee!! Non Smoking!!
  10. Any word on how this one is progressing?
  11. For those of use that are not tight with the athletic department, which of these names of prospective candidates served as assistant coaches last year?
  12. There are so many answers to this question. If you're waiting for one of them to be positive, it'd be like waiting for the libertarians to rise.
  13. I think churches today have gotten away from teaching the Bible. There is a new style of preaching where the focus is "feel good" sermons and not concrete Biblically based sermons.
  14. Communes were popular in the sixties with the hippie movement. Would you please make some points on your own and not a simple critique of what I say?
  15. 1. You brought up races in your answer and asked me to respond. You said something about interracial marriage. 2. It was a factor amongst other things. Led to extreme sexism and disorganization. I know it is a debatable point, as is everything. 3. I come to this conclusion through observation. Are communed stil popular? Is Swinging still popular? Does main stream polygamy work now or ever in history? Even in the Bible polygamy did not work (I thought that was an okay non-religious Biblical statement). 4. Tall kids usually have tall parents. Short kids have short parents. Baldness, obesity, hair color, skin tone. How many homosexuals have homosexual parents? Please give your reasons as to why people believe homosexuality is natural.
  16. I was going to hit the edit post button in order to add this to my previous post but it wouldn't let me for some reason. I want you guys to belive me when I say that I do not wish ill will on anyone regardless of who they are. I am not "homophobic" (if that is even an actual word); I am not afraid of homosexuals, I don't think they would ever hurt me or anything. I have had friends and co-workers and a relative who is gay and they are for the most part fun people, who are a riot to be around. I personally believe someone can be Gay and also be a Christian. I do not automatically consider a homosexual to be "lost." We are having a pretty good discussion and I am not attacking anyone and I hope no one will attack me either. This whole thread started because the amazon company would not even have a discussion with those people that disagreed with their commercial and I am assuming that since there was protocol in place for the customer service rep to follow, that I was not the only one to call.
  17. 1. Apples and oranges. I don't think anyone anywhere has ever suggested that homosexuals are a race of people. Good overall point about the subgroups though. 2. Not necessarily because of shunning homosexuality, but I cannot think of one example that fits your point. Maybe the USSR or other totaliterian regimes, but they fell for other reasons. 3. Nuclear family structure never goes away in a society. All others forms of family are fads that come and go. Same-Sex marriage may be a fad (or option) that stays around for a very long time though. 4. So you are saying that there is no evidence? I'm glad to hear that because usually people say "Science has now proven"
  18. So......you are not going to answer?
  19. But lets throw the question back. What actual evidence or reasons do any of you have for thinking that homosexuality is natural? Now you cannot say "because I just know it is" or "I have a friend who is gay and I know he was born that way" or "I just know myself and who I am." I gave actual answers, even though some of you didn't like it.
  20. I could throw out other Biblical ideas but I do not think using the Bible to discuss the issue is good for this thread. The fact is that it cannot be scientifically proven either way. Where does the burden of proof lay?
  21. Since my lifestyle is based on my religious beliefs and my religious beliefs are based on the Bible, then naturally the Bible is the basis for my world views. However I realize that not everyone believes that the Bible is true so I try not to use Biblical passages when discussing the issue because those passages hold not weight with people who disregard the Bible as true. Here a some non-biblical reasons why I think homosexuality is unnatural and am against Same Sex Marriage. 1. While it is hard to find divorce rates amongst homosexuals, one can find some very general stats (yes I said general) and those stats show that Gay Divore rates are higher then the 50% or so divorce rate of heterosexuals. For example, the first Lesbian couple to get married, those two blond women who smiled and kissed in Boston I think and everyone cheered, got divorced less than a year later. 2. The one society, I think, that has accepted homosexuality as "normal" suffered irrepairable damage as a result of it (Yes I know that Ancient Greece accepeted homosexuality for different reasons then America today). 3. Whenever any society or group of people in history have tried to replace the nuclear family with another form of family (Polygomy, Open Marriage, Communes, Swingers, etc) it has always failed. The nuclear family thrives. 4. Here is some circular reasoning that I realize is not very sound..... Whenever anyone has set out to prove that homosexuality is genetic, they have always come up empty handed. There is not a sliver of evidence that has zero holes. Combine these and some others (I despise long posts because I don't think people read them) along with my religious views and here I am. But I do not hate anyone. I personallybelieve God loves all his children, even those that are Gay. I sin too and I believe God still loves me.
